Re: Anyone on El Capitan?
Folks, sorry, i was in the wrong movie when discussing some issues with my Presonus Firestudio (and it's
UC app) in another forum;-)
Now back to the PowerCore - it works on El Capitan with the latest 4.5 driver, as Hagen described and
linked here under post #3 and #10. When it still refuses to work (getting errors like "kext has invalid
signature"), try the SIP patch again which i have linked under #9. For me this works now.

Re: Anyone on El Capitan?
HI EL CAPTAIN CAN WORK!! 26/07/2016 (exact version OS VERSION is: 10.11.3 (15D21)
Perhaps there is HOPE I FINALLY Manage to make my power core Firewire work on my MACBOOK
PRO 17'' With OSX EL CAPTAIN TODAY
After 2 months battle with it.
Here is my steps :
1-Download the Beta 4.5 driver
2- download 4.4.3 latest official
3- Install 4.4.3 oficial drivers then restart
4- when on Use The DE-INSTALLER in 4.4.3 Official to remove all installation. then restart...
+++HERE IS THE KEY MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS UNINSTALL BECAUSE THE PROBLEM
COME FROM UN-INSTALL DRIVERS SO IT MESSES EVERYTHING UP....
I PERSONALLY found that by using an app called: AppCleaner (apple store Free) I was able to find Left
over.
Here is How:
I installed : 3- 4...and 4.4.3 and all of them left stuff behind so I use Appcleaner to remove all about
powercore simply instal an old version and use the app to clean it up.
OR IF YOU are GOOD AT IT MANUALLY REMOVE kext and other files... too long
A-100% OK
After the Cleaning install a 4..5 Beta if successful then reboot
Then Finally Install 4.4.3 on top and its Done for me HOPEFULLY YOU TO
Ps : when you do the cleaning OPs make sure you check in System Pref to see if that Powercore
Preference Pane is still there if so control click on it and remove from the panel (my one wouldn't go until
I did so and when going gave an error like can't be remove but after restarting it was gone then I did A100% OK procedure
