EASY EARRINGS VARIATION

Adapted from Nunzia Scalpore's YouTube tutorial:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gED1k5vHVls
SUPPLIES:
15/0 seed beads (SB)
3mm (2x3mm) rondelles (R)
2 7x5mm drop beads, optional
2 Earring wires
Nymo D thread or 6lb FireLine (Nymo B is too thin)

NOTE: Nunzia uses 15/0 seed beads with 4mm rondelles in hers but I prefer the way they look with
3mm rondelles. I also have trouble getting the earrings to lay flat when I use 4mm rondelles or I end
up with gaps between the seed beads around the center rondelles.
1. Complete the top section of Nunzia's earrings as directed in the video but use 3mm rondelles
instead of 4mm and add rondelles at the top and bottom where she leaves gaps for the top loop and
for connecting the bottom section.
2. Weave around the outer edge of the earring once to reinforce it then exit from a R that is over
one of the points of the center "cross" of beads.

3. Pick up three SB + R + three SB. Go back around through the R you just exited.

4. Go back through the first three SB, the R and the first SB on the other side of the R.

5. Pick up three SB and go through the third SB, the R at the top of the main part of the earring and
first SB on the other side of the top section.

6. Pick up three SB and go through the third SB and the R at the top of this section.

7. Pick up seven SB and go back through the R. Reinforce this loop of beads two or three times.

8. If you are not adding the optional drop bead, weave around the earring a couple of times to
reinforce the stitching then weave in the working and tail threads. Attach an earring wire to the top
loop. To add a drop bead, proceed to Step 9.
TO ADD THE OPTIONAL DROP BEAD:
9. Weave around the earring to exit through the bottom center R. Pick up four SB + drop bead + SB.

10. Go back up through the drop bead and the next SB. Slide the beads up to the earring.

11. Pick up three SB and go around and through the other side of the R to complete the loop.

12. Weave around this loop of beads and the drop bead a couple of times to reinforce. Weave back
up into the earring and weave in the working and tail threads. Attach an earring wire to the top loop.
