For example the beachside area is
being prepared specifically to
support the needs of holiday makers,
and separate land, on the other side
of the road, is reserved for vehicle
parking. To connect the two areas we
are also building a special overpass,
big enough for large passenger
vehicles such as tour buses, so that
the tranquillity of the beachside
tourism area is not disturbed by
passing vehicles and the noise of
traffic.

As of March 2007 the construction of Stage 1 of the Hawaii Resort

and Spa in the Karang Bolong
tourism area at Anyer is still progressing well. The structural work
on the 4-storey main building is
finished, and the next step is the
installation services and mechanical
and electrical systems for the
comfort of resort guests.
Hawaii Resort and Spa, with a
design in accordance with its name,
is located right beside the beach. The
finishing uses mainly natural
materials such as coconut wood, the
lower buildings have thatched rood
coverings, and the floors and walls
are finished with natural stone. The
room interiors also use bright
cheerful Hawaiian motifs, especially
in the public areas such as the lobby,
reception area and restaurant. The
open areas will feature a variety of

beautiful, cool and shady tropical

plants.
Hawaii Resort and Spa will
also include Water Park facilities
with both fresh and sea water. The
fresh water section will be between
the two towers of the main building,
and includes facilities for children as
well as adults. The other section will
be a sea-water lagoon, enclosed by
two promontories of land purposely
built out into the sea and meeting in
the middle. Apart from being a
seaside tourism attraction, this area
will also be used for special programs and events. The promontories
will also serve as breakwaters to
protect the tourism area from any
rough sea conditions that may occur
from time to time.

emphasis on the comfort of guests,

relieve their stress, where they can
get a refreshing massage while
enjoying an exceptional view of the
open sea. These facilities are to be
built in a calm secluded area behind
a hill, at a distance from the main
building. The spa is intentionally
placed with its rear wall backed
against the hill, and facing directly
towards the sea, to maximize the
cooling, calming influence of the
beautiful sea view for the guests who
are having a massage and spa
therapy.
Since our aim is to provide the
best facilities and services for
everybody who comes to this resort,
we are placing great emphasis on
professional standards in project
construction and development, so
that later the results will be satisfying for all tourists, and especially for
Club Bali members.

Ngariung
Preparations for the New Year
event at Kota Bunga Resort & Spa,
with the theme of "Ngariung", took
three days, but the results were
satisfying and there were no
obstacles (well, maybe just a little
bit about the budget, which we had
to watch carefully). The minimalist
design and dcor did not detract
from the enthusiasm of the members
who participated in the program.
Arranging and decorating the event
area began at 4p.m.
Right on schedule, after a break
at 7 p.m., members enjoyed
performances of masked dances,
f o l l o w e d b y j a i p o n g a n . To
participate members paid
Rp150.000,- per room, and were
provided with snacks and soft
drinks.
Apart from the traditional
entertainment, for this first New

Year event at Kota Bunga Resort &

Spa we also invited an acoustic band
who can play Latin and country
music, and salsa. The band began its
sound checks at 9 p.m. while
members were enjoying the
offerings of the Lavender Restaurant
on the second floor.
Members' attention was called
away from the food and back to the
program by the sounds of the first
song, Gypsy King's "Bambaleo".
One by one they returned to the
garden, where some listened
contentedly to the music while others
sang along with the band.

Members and guests in rooms on floors 1, 2

and 3 were able to enjoy the restful atmosphere of the
day before the festivities of New Year's Eve.

The Sales Team, represented by

Anto and Samuel, and all the staff of
Kota Bunga Resort & Spa, gave out
door prizes. The cool night air was
warmed up by the presence of
Santim who enlivened the next part
of the program, entertaining the
members with dangdut music.
The peak of the program came
after Arief John Johan Tisera
welcomed and thanked everybody
present . . . when suddenly every
single light went out. This had all
been arranged beforehand by the
Engineering staff, led by Yuhendino.
The countdown to the new year was
led by the general manager of Kota
Bunga Resort & Spa, and ended with
a fireworks display that decorated
the night sky. Then the lights were
turned on again.
The Ngariung program ended at
1 a.m., 1 January, 2007. See you next
year.

8 days and 7 nights, from 21 to 28
October, 2006. The very strategic
location of our holiday hotel, the
Absolute Sea Pearl Beach Hotel, made
everything easy for us. It is right on the
Pathong shoreline with a beautiful view
directly to the beach, close to the shops
and five-star hotels, and also to other
recreation facilities, from restaurants to
salons and even traditional Thai
massage parlours.

Apart from the usual taxis and

"tuk-tuks" for transport there is also a
bus stop right in front of the hotel and
the buses can take us into Phuket city
center. The hotel's own facilities are
very complete, with caf, hotel bar,
gymnasium, laundry, restaurant, sauna,
swimming pool and local internet.

For those who like water sports

there are facilities right in front of the
hotel such as banana boats and jet skis,
as well as places for those who only
wish to swim. The seawater is very
clean and calm, with no big waves. Such
comfort, complete facilities and good
location helped make our holiday at the
Absolute Sea Pearl Beach Hotel really
happy and memorable.
