ABOUT THE INSTITUTION

Kongunadu College of Engineering and
Technology(KNCET) was established in the year
2007, approved by AICTE, New Delhi, affiliated to
Anna University, Chennai and Accredited by NAAC
with B++ Grade. The College offers 6 UG courses in
CSE, ECE, EEE, Mechanical and Civil under B.E
Degree, IT under B.Tech Degree and 4 PG courses
in CSE, CSE (with Specialization in Networks)
,Embedded System Technologies and Applied
Electronics under M.E Degree. The Institution has the
merit of ISO 9001:2008 certification for its quality
measures and stands 27th rank among 539 affiliated
Engineering Colleges, in the rank list published by
Anna University based on the university examination
pass percentage. The college has obtained research
grants from various Funding Agencies, organized
National Conferences, conducted Guest Lectures,
Seminars, and Workshops. The college has signed
MOU with Industries like TVS Harita Techserv,
CISCO, EMC2 for Research and Development Center
and Center of Excellence. Kongunadu IAS academy
is established to create awareness about civil service
examinations for students. The department of campus
to corporate provides Skill based training to the
students to be placed in well reputed MNC
Companies. The college attracts outstanding students
by virtue of its Discipline, Modern Infrastructure,
Library and Faculty Members.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The
Department
of
Electronics
and
Communication Engineering was established in the
year 2007 to cater the needs of the students. Excellent
and dedicated faculty adding to its strength. They get
to work, hands-on and get real-time experience under
the guidance of the highly accomplished faculty. The
students acquire interpersonal and communication
skills from the ECE Association and promote their
professional skills through societies like IETE ,ISTE.

OBJECTIVE
This faculty development program is
intended to provide opportunity for teachers
employed in the affiliated colleges of Anna
University for teaching and upgrading their
knowledge in the area of COMMUNICATION
THEORY.

The

main

focus

will

be

on

Communication Theory (EC6402) based on the

B.E (ECE) syllabus of Anna University.
COURSE CONTENTS
The entire syllabus of Communication
Theory (subject code: EC6402, 2013 regulations,
Anna University Chennai) will be covered with
practical sessions.
