Dear All,

I would offer a course this semester titled "Control Systems Design". The
course outline is indicated below.
The first class will be held on Thursday, 5th January 2017 at 10:00 AM.
The class schedule for the rest of the semester will be decided on this
day. Location for the first class: Lecture Hall 1, Department of
Instrumentation and Applied Physics.
Sincerely,
Jayanth
Course Number and Title: IN 227, Control Systems Design (3:0)
Course Outline:
Dynamics of linear systems, Laplace transforms, analysis and control of
feedback control systems using Nyquist plots, Bode plots and Root Locus,
design of control systems in single-degree of-freedom configuration,
proportional-integral-derivative control, lead-lag compensation, design of
control systems in two-degree of-freedom configuration to achieve
robustness, quantitative feedback theory, control of nonminimum phase
systems, bode sensitivity integrals, use of describing functions to
analyze and compensate nonlinearities.
