Technical Data Summary

AziTrak

Deep Azimuthal Resistivity

The AziTrak deep azimuthal resistivity
formation evaluation tool is a fully integrated
MWD/LWD suite, providing real time
directional, azimuthal gamma ray, multiple
propagation resistivity, deep azimuthal
resistivity, downhole pressure and vibration
measurements in a single sub. The tool is
designed to detect reservoir boundaries and
provide accurate formation evaluation
simultaneously while drilling for precise
wellbore placement. When utilized with
Reservoir Navigation Services, real time
distance-to-bed boundary and apparent-dip
calculations with deep azimuthal resistivity
data and gamma ray images are available for
informed decision making in meeting the
challenges present in the most demanding
applications in order to deliver optimal
wellbore placement for increasing production
in horizontal and multilateral wells.
Combined with the Baker Hughes downhole
advanced drilling systems, the AziTrak tool
delivers precise directional control, accurate
formation evaluation.

The AziTrak resistivity sensors use innovative

crossed (orthogonal) receiver coils to enhance
the azimuthal sensitivity of the measurement
for determining the direction of approaching
resistivity boundaries. This technology
expands the current limits of extended reach
drilling, formation evaluation logging and
wellbore placement.
