Research and define the following terms (some are Buddhist terms, some
are people/objects, and some are regular vocabulary words).
Brahmin-is a varna (class) in Hinduism specialising as priests of sacred
learning across generations.

Upanishads of Sama-Veda- s the Veda of melodies and chants. It is an

from the Rigveda.
Sages- an aromatic plant with grayish-green leaves that are used as a
culinary herb, native to southern Europe and the Mediterranean.

Chandogya-Upanishads- s a Sanskrit text embedded in the Chandogya


Brahmana of the Sama Veda of Hin duism. It is one of the oldest Upanishads.
Satya - is the Sanskrit word for truth.
Banyan tree- A banyan is a fig that starts its life as an epiphyte when its
seeds germinate in the cracks and crevices on a host tree or on buildings and
bridges.
Samanas - These ascetics and sages lived alone in caves or forests, or with
their families in communities. They were supported by those who felt unable
to do the same but who, by helping them, believed that they gained
Karmic benefits.
Ascetics - originally meaning "to train" or "to exercise," specifically in the
sense of the training and self-denial that an athlete undergoes to attain
physical skill and mastery over the body.
Undeviating - showing no deviation; constant and steady
Resignation - an act of retiring or giving up a position.
Bast (mat made of)- she was the goddess of warfare in Lower Egypt, the Nile
