The apple is called the “KING OF THE FRUITS,” and the statement that “AN APPLE A DAY WILL KEEP
THE DOCTOR AWAY” represents a reputation on the part of the apple that seems to be well preserved. It
comes from an old English verse which says: “An apple before be makes the doctor beg his bread.” It is an al
around health food. These are some of the amazing facts about the humble apple.

BANANAS
Bananas have the following therapeutic benefits:

Potatoes have the following therapeutic benefits:
• Raw potato juice and hot potato water are supposed to relieve gout, rheumatism, lumgago, sprains, and
bruises.
• They are one of the most alkaline reacting foods.
• The skins of potatoes are rich in CHLORGOENIC acid, a polyphenol, that prevents cell mutations leading
to cancer, potato skins have antioxidant activity.
• The application of a raw crushed potato is excellent for relief of BURNS.
• A poultice of raw potatoes relieves sore eyes, boils, and inflammation of the skin. Potato soup can be used
