MODUL DESCRIPTION:
ENGLISH FOR GENERAL PURPOSES provides students with language skills to be used in everyday life, to further their studies and for work purposes. In th
globalization and emerging technologies, students need to be proficient in English and have the ability to use it as a medium of communication with people fro
communities or countries. ENGLISH FOR GENERAL PURPOSES is the foundation to facilitate the study of ENGLISH FOR SPECIFIC PURPOSES for studen
Malaysian Vocational Colleges (KVM). It comprises of listening, speaking, reading, writing, dictionary and basic social skills.
MODULE OUTCOME:
At the end of the module, students should be able to:

1. Teacher initiate conversation by breaking the ice and
students will follow suit.
2. Students will take turn to talk about themselves (family,
interest and personal opinions on certain subject).
3. Students will be given ample time and chance to talk
about themselves while the others and teacher will listen
attentively.
Group discussion (Board games)
1. Separate students into a few groups and have them to
play some English board games (name your favourite,
name 3, what someone does etc). Each student will then jot
down whatever their friends opinions are.
Oral presentation
(Asking questions)

students are listening to
