PRESIDENT DUTERTE HONORS VICTIMS OF TYPHOON YOLANDA AND THEIR
BEREAVED FAMILIES President Rodrigo Roa Duterte led the commemoration of the third anniversary of Typhoon Yolanda through a visit to the Holy Cross Memorial Gardens in Tacloban City, which is among the hosts of the mass graves of victims of the said supertyphoon. The President offered a wreath in honor of those who died during the calamity, and in front of their families, received the outputs of a three-part summit on climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction. The Vice-President, Maria Leonor GeronaRobredo, and eight Secretaries joined the president in the visit, namely Cabinet Secretary Leoncio Evasco Jr., DBM Secretary Benjamin Diokno, DSWD Secretary Judy Taguiwalo, DPWH Secretary Mark Villar, DoH Secretary Paulyn Rossel-Ubial, DTI Secretary Ramon Lopez, DND Secretary Delfin Lorenzana and CCC Chairperson Emmanuel de Guzman. The activity was jointly hosted by the Office of the Cabinet Secretary, the Climate Change Commission, and the DND- Office of Civil Defense, together with the City Government of Tacloban and DPWH Region VIII.
