The Important Big Book of

Respecting Life
I just wanted you to know that
The planet is home to millions of living things.
Some of those living things are animals like
dogs, cats, bird, cows, and horses. They
depend on the planet and humans for survival.
All life deserves respect.

I just wanted you to know that

Animals have rights.
Animals are viewed differently depending on
the culture. Sometimes, these views lead to the
mistreatment of animals and their
environment.
All life deserves respect.

I just wanted you to know

That there are exotic animals like tigers and
elephants that are endangered.
These animals are endangered for many
reasons. Some of these reasons include
hunting, poaching, loss of habitat and even
keeping some of these animals as pets.
All life deserves respect.

I am concerned that
We are not respecting the homes and lives of wild
animals.
Human are the cause of endangerment of species
and their homes. It is estimated that in the next
twenty-five years, deforestation caused by
humans will lead to the extinction of up to 28,000
species. The conservation of species and their
habitats is the right of an animal.
All life deserves respect.

I just wanted you to know

That the mistreatment of animals is close to home.
Domesticated animals like parakeets, cats, and
dogs are kept as pets. Owning a pet is a huge
responsibility; pets require love, attention, and
veterinary care that can be expensive. Some
cultures only see these animals for the services
they provide; for example, dogs are seen as guard
and cats as mice trappers. As a result, some
animals are neglected by their owners who do not
see it necessary to provide the care they need.

All life deserves respect.

I just wanted you to know.

That not all pets find loving homes.
Some animals are abandoned on the street while
others end up in animal shelters. Some animals are
adopted, but overpopulation caused by the lack
of spay and neutering of domesticated animals,
like cats and dogs, forces shelters to euthanize
animals that are not adopted.

All life deserves respect.

I just wanted you to know that

Animals, whether domesticated or exotic, have
rights just like you and me.
Animals have the right to a habitat where they
have access to food, water, and other necessitates
of life. We must be responsible and conscious of
our actions because the impact we have on living
things is much larger than we think.

All life deserves respect.
