A health-teaching program conducted to help
the people in the community to understand the
importance of good hygienic practices and to
protect themselves and others from getting
sick.
Objectives:
1. To educate the people that certain microorganisms are
transmitted through close contact between people.
2. To apply hygiene measures to prevent transmission of
infection among other members of the family and the
community
3. To provide support to help prevent spread of infection
in community setting especially the diarrheal and
respiratory illnesses.
4. To prevent spread of infections in a simple and cost
effective manner.
5. To learn the importance of regular hand washing.
