ECLIPSE

I am the sun,
You are the moon,
And to you, I shall share my light.
For each hour that passes by,
Or every cycle of day,
I will share my light.
Together we shall shine
Brighter than any other
Celestial being in the universe
Together we shall shine
On the lands, barren by sorrow
And watch these abandoned seeds grow
And although we shine,
Together in a day
Our paths shall never meet
For our love is forbidden
By a greater ancient force
Cursed to never see
And regardless of my power
I can barely touch you
Damned to barely see you
Yet on rare days such as this
We can bend destinys will
And the path set by nature
Even if for a moment,
I shall envelop you in my embrace
Hoping that this moment never ends
But we can only hope
For that day when we can finally meet
The day when the world inevitably ends
