CONTROL MEASURES /
MITIGATION ACTIONS

1. Certified and inspected lifting equipment


shall be used
2. Valid colour coded sling shall be used
for lifting
3. All the lifting equipment shall be
inspected visually and valid certificate
before put into use
4. Only trained person should operate the
lifting equipment
5. Prior to use, check the work area for
drop-offs or other possible hazardous
conditions
6. Barricade the area
7. Always lock the wheels before loading
8. Attach the load handling
properly/secured to the equipment with
the load in centre zone/position
9. Do not allow any personnel under the
loading and unloading area
10.Do not use the equipment as a
personnel lifting platform or step
11. Do not grasp the cable to avoid body
injury
12.Place the forks inside the carriage and
insert the retaining pin

CONTROL MEASURES /
MITIGATION ACTIONS

1. All electrical connections, such as


wires, cables and terminals must be
properly insulated and covered, and
should not be touched with bare hands
or while in contact with water. This is
essential to prevent the occurrence of
an electric shock.
2. The frame of any external conducting
parts should have proper grounding /
earthling wiring. This should never be
disconnected.
3. Wiring, cable and cord sets must be of
the recommended capacity.
4. Standby Co2 Fire-extinguisher
5. The work must be carried on by only a
competent person only
6. All power voltage supplies should
be turned off at the source while
installing or servicing the
generator
7. Proper use of PPE such as
rubber hand-gloves
