WARNING!Pleasemakesurethecontrolunitisunpluggedandoffduringservicing.AllrepairsshouldbeperformedonanESDsafeworkstation.Service
personnelshouldbeequippedwithanESDmonitortopreventanyunwantedESDtouchingtheinternalparts.

ControlUnitPump
Toreplaceapump,removetherearhousingfromthefronthousingandplaceallmountingscrewsasideforfutureuse.DisconnectACwirefromthe
powersupplyandremovethepumpconnectorfromthesolenoidboard.Oncetheconnectorsareremoved,removethe4longmountingscrewslocated
underneaththeunit.Slowlypulloutthepump.Gentlypulloutthehoseconnectorfromthepumpconnectedtothesolenoidboard.Toinstallanewpump,
followtheseremovalstepsinreverseorder.

PowerSupply
Toreplaceapowersupply,removetherearhousingfromthefronthousingandlayitflatontheworkstation.DisconnecttheACpowercableandDC
powercablefromthepowersupply.Oncethosecablesaredisconnected,removethegroundwirebyremovingsinglenut.Setasideforfutureuse.Next,
exposethebackoftherearhousingandremovethe2screwsholdingthepowersupplyinplace.Obtainanewpowersupplyandfollowtheseremovalstepsin
reverseordertoinstall.

Solenoid
Toreplaceasolenoidboard,removetherearhousingfromthefronthousingandplaceallmountingscrewsasideforfutureuse.DisconnectACwirefrom
thepowersupplyandremovethepumpconnectorfromthesolenoidboard.Oncetheconnectorsareremoved,removethe4longmountingscrewslocated
underneaththeunit.Slowlypulloutthepump.Gentlypulloutthehoseconnectorfromthepumpconnectedtothesolenoidboard.Oncethepumpisout,start
removingthe3screwsthatsecurethesolenoidboardinsidethehousing.Slideoutthesolenoidboardandremovethehosesfromthetopofthesolenoid.
Disconnectthesensorhosethatisconnectedtothedisplayboard.Next,removethedatacablefromthesolenoidboardandtuckawaygently.Toinstallanew
solenoidboard,followtheseremovalstepsinreverseorder.

DisplayLabel
Toreplaceadisplaylabel,obtainaheatgunandsetitonlowheat.Applyheatoverthedisplaylabelwithaslowmotionlefttorightuntilthedisplaylabel
iswarmtothetouch.Oncethelabeliswarm,grabthecornerofthedisplaylabelandslowlypullbackthelabel.DONOTPULLTOOHARD.Pullingtoohardmayrip
offPCBtracesfromthedisplayboard,causingdamageandreplacementofthedisplayboard.Ensurealltacticaldomesareintact.Ifyoupulloffatacticaldome,
reattachtacticaldometothedisplayboardandtestalltacticaldomesbeforeapplyingnewdisplaylabel.Oncealltacticaldomesverified,reattachthenewdisplay
label.Pressfirmonthedisplaylabel.Again,verifyalltacticaldomesareinworkingorder.

PowerEntryModule
Toreplaceapowerentrymodule,removetherearhousingfromthefronthousingandplaceallmountingscrewsasideforfutureuse.DisconnectACwire
fromthepowersupplyandremovebothwhiteandblackferriteclampsfromthepowerentryACwires.Removeanysiliconearoundthepowerentrymodulenut
andscrew.Removebothmountingscrewsfromthepowerentrymoduleandslideoutpowerentrymodule.Soldertoolisrequiredforremovingcablingfrom
damagedpowerentrymodule.Carefullyremove/cutawayheatshrinkfromthecableandremoveACwireswithsolderingtool.Slideon2newblackheatshrink
bandstoeachsideoftheACpowercablebeforereattachingpowerentrymodule.Reattachnewpowerentrymoduletothecablesandresolderwires.Slideup
heatshrinkandusetheheatgunatlowsettingtoshrinktheheatshrink.Oncewiresareattached,followtheseremovalstepsinreverseordertocomplete
reinstallofpowerentrymodule.

CPCConnector
ToreplaceaCPCconnector,removetherearhousingfromthefronthousingandplaceallmountingscrewsasideforfutureuse.Removeziptiesholding
theairhosestotheconnectorandmakesureyoudonotleaveanyziptiesinsidetheunit.Gentlyslideoutairhosesfromtheconnectorandsetasidesoitsnotin
theway.Youwillneedaratchet,9/16standardsocketsandawrenchofsize5/8inordertoremovetheCPCconnector.Onceremoved,insertanewconnector

andretighten.DonotovertightentheCPCConnector;thismaycausedamagedtothehousingorconnector.Oncehosesarereconnecttothebrassconnector,
addzipstiesandretightenthescrews.

Housing
Toreplacebothfrontandrearhousings,followthespecificpartreplacementinstructionsuntilallthepartsareout.Theremainingparttoremoveisthe
displayboard.Toremovethedisplayboard,removeallnutsandwashersfromthedisplayboard.Tocompletereinstallofallpartsinsidetheunit,obtainanew
frontandrearhousingandfollowallremovalstepsinreverseorder.Recommendedinstallorderisthedisplayboard,solenoidboard,pump,powerentrymodule,
andthenthepowersupply.Toremovetheseriallabelontherearhousing,followtheinstructionsprovidedforDisplayLabelremoval.Gentlyremovetheserial
label.Reusetheseriallabelonthenewrearhousing.Onceallpartsaresecuredandinstalledcorrectly,calibratetheunitbypressingandholdingtheSOFT,
FIRM,andALMSIL_keys.Oncetheunitiscalibrated,theunitshouldbefullyfunctionalandreadyforuse.

Mattress
AirCell
Toremoveanaircellfromthemattress,disconnectthemattressfromthecontrolunit.Removethetopsheetfromthemattressbyunzippingthezipper
thatconnectsthetopsheettothebase.Locatetheaircelltoberemoved.Oneachsideoftheaircellthereisasnap.UnsnapthesnapsanddisconnecttheCPC
connectorfromthemanifold.Thecellisdisconnectedfromthemanifoldandcanberemoved.Followtheseremovalstepsinreverseordertocompletereinstall
ofaircell.

FoamPad
Toremovethefoambasefromthemattress,disconnectthemattressfromthecontrolunit.Removethetopsheetfromthemattressbyunzippingthe
zipperthatconnectsthetopsheettothebase.Disconnectthesnapsalongtheleftsideofthemattresstorevealthefoampadcover.Unzipthefoampadcover
andremovethefoam.Followtheseremovalstepsinreverseordertocompletereinstallofthefoambase.

Manifold
RemvingManifold
Disconnectthemattressfromthecontrolunit.Removethetopsheetfrommattress,byunzippingthetopsheetfromthebase.Unsnaptheaircellson
themanifoldside(patientrighthandside),startattheheadofthemattress,andstartunsnappingallofthecellsfromthebaseuntilyoureachthefootendof
themattress.Unsnapthemanifoldhosecoverfrommanifoldcoverflap(locatedatfootend).Atthepatientsrighthandsideofthemattress,noticed3
manifoldsleevesthatholdthemanifoldinplace,therearefemalemanifoldconnectorscomingthroughthem.Startatthefirstsleeveandstartpushingthe
femaleconnectorsthroughthebuttonholes,repeatprocessonthetworemaining.Onceallfemaleconnectorsarepushedthroughthemanifoldsleeves,
slowlystartpullingthemanifoldoutthroughthemanifoldcoverflap,untilmanifoldiscompletelyout.

InstallingnewManifold
Startfeedingnewmanifoldthroughthemanifoldcoverflapandtroughthe3manifoldsleeves.Becarefulnottosnagafemaleconnectoronthe
manifoldsleeve.Itmaydamagethemanifoldcausingmanifoldtoleakandnotinflatecorrectly.Snapthemanifoldhosecovertothemanifoldhosecoverflap.
Forthisstep,startatthefootendofthemattress.Onthefirstmanifoldsleeve,insertnumber2and3connectors;onthesecondmanifoldsleeveinsert
number7and8connectors,onthethirdmanifoldsleeveinsertnumber19and20connectors.Understandthereareonly2connectorstoasleeveandifyou
missaholeonthemanifoldsleeve,themanifoldwillnotsitcorrectly.Oncemanifoldisseatingcorrectly,startconnectingallthecellstothemanifold.When
allcellsareconnectedtothemanifold,startsnappingtheaircellstothemattressbase.Attachthetopsheettothemattressbyzippingthetopsheettothe
base.
