IMPORTANT: Read all instructions before performing any work. Be sure all
power is off prior to installing luminaire.
WARNING:
Luminaire must be grounded in accordance with appropriate
codes. Failure to do so may result in serious injury.

Grounding and Wiring

There are two methods of properly grounding the Eclipse Surexi 2 (ES2) light bar. Depending on the installation you may
choose the one that best suits your application. Be sure to check grounding continuities once installation is complete. Failure
to properly ground ES2 and its remote driver could risk in injury or death.
1.
Unistrut Ground via Grounded Racks The ES2 has a mounting clips option which mounts in conjunction with a 1 5/8
x 13/16 electrical unistrut. If the Unistrut is grounded and/or metal rack system which holds light bar is grounded
then the light bar will be grounded. Be sure that the racks are not painted because the paint can insulate bar. If so,
use the ground screw for grounding (Option 2).

2. End Cap Ground Screw The ES2 has a #8 green ground screw and cup washer on the end cap of light bar. This ground
screw is provided for the installation of a strained 14-18GA ground wire. Screw is to be loosen and wire is to be wrapped
around screw under the cup washer. Then tighten screw to secure wire. Wire can be daisy chained through may bars in a
row.

3.

Grounding of Driver Each ES2 driver needs to be grounded via the driver metal enclosure. This can be accomplished by
mounting the driver onto a metal conductive panel or mounting the drive in a NEMA conductive enclosure that is
grounded.
4. When wiring field leads to the junction box be sure that a strain relief is used to secure input leads. Drivers Input is 120277VAC 50/60Hz. Driver input leads are Black for line voltage and White for neutral. The fixtures are Damp location rate.
In order to protect the Driver from moisture, it is recommended that a water tight J-Box or Gel Filled wire nuts for water
resistant system.

Mounting Light Bars Using Uni-Strut Mount Clips

The fixtures are designed to be clamped to two mounting rails of standard unistrut. It is recommended that the
unistrut rails be installed in the desired locations before attaching the fixtures. The installation uses spring clips.
1. Insert the required number of clips into the end of each mounting rail and position as desired:

2. Next, insert one side of each clip into the fixture make sure the clip goes into the channel with the hooked fin (see
below), then use a screwdriver to pull the opposite side of the clamp into place. CAUTION! Use care to avoid over-flexing
the clips as they are installed.

Press firmly to make sure each end of the clip is inserted fully under the hooked extrusion fins.

Mounting Light Bars Using Fastener Type of Spring Clip

The Eclipse Light Bar can be mounted to a ceiling or plenum using a flush mounted spring clips. The spring clip works in
conjunction with a rubber washer provided in a mounting kit. Fasteners (#10) and washer (#10) are supplied by other.

Determine the mounting location and spacing of the Eclipse Light Bar. It is recommended that the mounting
brackets holes are 18 from the center of the light bar which is 36 between holes.
Drill pilot holes into the ceiling material.
Determine which #10 fastener and washer will be used to hold mounting clip to ceiling. It is recommended that
corrosion resistant screws are used in damp environment and fastener type is appropriate for the material that is
being mounted to.
Assemble the spring clip by first inserting the screw into the metal washer, then the rubber washer and then into
the spring clip top screw. (Fig 1)
