Effects of Global Warming

REPORT
Global warming occurs when carbon dioxide (CO2) and other air
pollutants collect in the atmosphere and absorb sunlight and solar radiation
that have bounced off the earths surface. Normally, this radiation would
escape into spacebut these pollutants, which can last for years to centuries
in the atmosphere, trap the heat and cause the planet to get hotter. Global
warming is the term used to describe a gradual increase in the average
temperature of the Earth's atmosphere and its oceans, a change that is
believed to be permanently changing the Earths climate. The planet is
warming, from North Pole to South Pole, and everywhere in between.
Globally, the mercury is already up more than 1 degree Fahrenheit (0.8
degree Celsius), and even more in sensitive Polar Regions. And the effects of
rising temperatures arent waiting for some far-flung future. Theyre
happening right now. Signs are appearing all over, and some of them are
surprising. The heat is not only melting glaciers and sea ice, its also shifting
precipitation patterns and setting animals on the move.
The effects of Global Warming can be witness to our barangay by just
observing how people tends to comfort themselves due to hot temperature.
When we feel discomfort due to warm temperature, we feel our skin irritated
and we cant think normally. The Global Warming also affects plants and
trees in our barangay. Higher temperatures and other climate changes

decrease the amount of rain and water plants receive, as well as elevating
sea temperatures. It can harm people to breath normally due to dead plants
and trees that support our respiratory system. Some of the canals here in our
barangay is drought and some decreases the flow of water because of Global
Warming. Because of this, the canal became a trash site for the people that
leaves pile of garbage in it. During heavy rains and typhoons, the garbage is
blocking the garbage causing a lot of trouble to the citizen nearby. The
Global Warming can also increase the risk for having wild fire in our
barangay.

Conclusion
I therefore conclude that global warming and climate change is a
phenomenon we cant avoid. It confirms that global warming is the major
challenge for our global society nowadays. The human race tends to be
smart and smarter. As technology improve and innovate, the nature and
environment were prone to damaged. But we can decrease the risk, by
cooperation and solidarity within the community we can start changing our
bad habits of destroying it. Discipline starts within ourselves then others will
follow because protecting our surroundings is also a way of protecting our
lives.

Recommendation
Due to the alarming situation of this planet against Global Warming,
our country, city, and barangay were affected and we should accept it. We
cant control and prevent the nature harming the people from its natural
phenomenon. The nature circulates depending on our action. We are the
cause of this global warming and climate change and were the ones who
can repair the damage we caused.
We should start the prevention and discipline within ourselves. With
the help of barangay officials and community we can start a seminar about
climate change and global warming, its cause, effect, and prevention. A lot of
people do things according to their belief and ignorance. Thats why I
recommend this type of seminar starting from our barangay so the people
can be aware and be knowledgeable to this phenomenon to start changing
their habits affecting our nature and environment.
We can also conduct a barangay general cleaning and tree planting to
restore or maintain the cleanliness in some areas. With the cooperation and
responsibility of the people nearby the damaged area, we can repair the

things causing the problem. While tree planting implements a good action to
substitute trees and plants that were already damaged. It can give a good
impression to the youth to protect the barangay as well as the nature in the
next

generation.
