Note 1: When configuring services at VC4, SL4 V7.30 (controlled) can insert
or transparently transmit AU-AIS.
Note 2 Board 32ASP of 2500 soft REG is to issue a new version which supports
AU-AIS transparent transmission later September, 2004.

The default is not switching conditions. It is suggested to configure as SNCP switching conditions.
HP-TIM prospect
In August 2004, new released host maintenance version is to modify that the default of HP-TIM is not
switching condition. The board software remains unchanged. The host delivers commands. More
information is subject to the version document.

advised.
HPUNEQ is necessary condition for SNCP switching. Make sure only circuit
board versioned 1.20 or above can support HPUNEQ as switching condition.
The default has no configuration, but requires manual setting.

If SF does not preempt SNCP node of SD, if one of all the SNCP switching
conditions has a fault, it is considered the fault in a corresponding channel
with status indication as bad. To the active channel, switch will start.
Nevertheless, the standby channel will be set as bad, and will not switch
even the working channel has detected other switching conditions.
For example, set HP-TIM as a switching condition of SNCP, but HP-TIM
alarms occur in both active and standby channels of SNCP node. In this

case, both channels will indicate bad. If SF is unable to preempt SD, if AUAIS alarm occurs subsequently, SNCP will not switch, either.
Table below is to show whether SD preemption by SF supported. Note: This
function is not necessary.

To eliminate bad mentioned above, there are four options in the case of
the router sending fixed overhead bytes.
Option one: Set J1 bytes sent by the router consistent with bytes to be
received set by the company.

General Principle
1.
2.
In the future, 2500+ products series will not take HP-TIM as switching
condition of SNCP, consistent with default settings of 10G and NG-SDH.

Precautions
1.
2.
If circuit board in the ring used by SNCP node also belongs to MSP ring,
take care of overhead setting after multiplex sections switching.
