HOW DOES IT WORK?

FLUIDITY. AN MPLS LABEL SWITCHING
TECHNOLOGY PROTOCOL
The MPLS-based protocol establishes virtual pipes ahead of time so no packet routing is needed. This results in a very reliable wireless
network with extremely low latency. When FLUIDITY is activated on an on-board train radio that is roaming at up to 200 mph through the
wireless network, the track-side radios make a real-time choice of the best pipe through the fixed network. With a 3 millisecond hand-off
between the track radios and the train radios, the network can support up to 100Mbps of seamless streaming content in both directions.

FLUIDITY REQUIRES:
One or more radios on the train, depending on the application.
An array of track-side radios. The radio density depends on the topography and the line of sight around the track.
A wired or wireless backbone network for the trackside radios. This can be made using fiber, copper or wireless
Fluidmesh radios.
