2. Dig Deeper
Open the library website: w

Open the orientation questions by c licking here
Keep both tabs open. Answer the orientation questions by
searching the pages of the website. Submit your answers.
Ask Mrs. Reiswig if you get stuck.

3. Google at School
You will need to access your Elk Grove Google account frequently.
Tip: Always use Google Chrome web browser on school computers
Sign-in to your Elk Grove Google account like this:

Close all windows except this page

Open a new tab.
Go to w
ww.google.com
Click sign in
username = your ID#@egusd.net
Password = the same password you use for the computer

* This is a separate account from personal gmail accounts.

4. Save It All
Make a document to remember your login information!
Click the waffle or checkerboard icon to open Google apps

Open Google Drive

Click NEW button at the upper left. Choose Google Docs

Type a document for yourself with your computer password and

your School Loop username and password.
Click Untitled Document at the top to name your document:
Rename it: Password Information

Click Share in the upper right corner.

Click Get Sharable Link
Sign out (everything is saved automatically)

5. School Loop
Save a copy of your Password Information in your SL locker!
Go to School Loop on the Elk Grove High School webpage:
www.eghshome.net (always use Chrome)
Choose Login or R
egister Now
If you cant remember your login information, ask Mrs. Reiswig
or your teacher for help
Click My Locker at the top of your SL page
Click Add Link. Display name: Password Information
URL: paste link of your Google Doc
Close your SL window and Google Doc window

6. Time to Hit the Books

Choose the blue Library Catalog b
utton on the bottom right
Open the catalog questions by c licking here
Answer the questions online as you search in the catalog and on
the book shelves. Submit your responses.
Choose a book to check-out (see your teacher) and spend the
rest of your time reading.

Or you may move on to the extra advanced section if you wish.

Think about your favorite book. Find an image of the book
cover online. Copy and paste the book cover image on this
Padlet wall.
To be successful in school youll need to be organized. Follow
these steps to organize your Google Drive:
Open another tab in Chrome
Sign in and go to your Drive by clicking the waffle icon
Click the blue NEW button in the upper left to create a
FOLDER for each of your classes. Label them by
period and name (1st - English, 2nd - Geography)
Create another folder for older documents and label it
Give them colors if you like
Drag any documents you have in your Drive to the
correct folder! Now youre organized like a boss!
