Essential Questions:

How will I meet with 3 by Halloween application requirement?

What is an FSA ID?

Why is my FSA ID important?

What is FAFSA and why is it important?

How do I effectively manage the college application process?

Overview & Purpose:
Teacher will present a brief overview of FAFSA, and
why it is important. This presentation will be
displayed on the Smart Board for those students who
are visual learners. Students will then learn about the
various incentives for filing their FAFSA by November
1 (25.00 Amazon gift card and senior all night party).
Finally, students will apply for their FSA ID so they are
ready to fill out the FAFSA on Oct. 1. Students will also
participate in a college application workshop day.
This will allow students protected time to work on
their college applications and essays. Teachers will
float around the room and work with students one-onone during this time. Finally, students will attend
college representative visits with University of
Michigan Flint and the University of Notre Dame. In
this lesson students will be able to create an FSA ID,
