Overview
If you are a Microsoft partner or exploring a partnership with Microsoft, you can earn a percentage of
sales revenue in fees by participating in the:

Microsoft Online Services Advisor (OSA) program for Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online partners
Microsoft Dynamics CRM Certified Software Advisor (CSA) program for Microsoft Dynamics CRM
On Premises partners

Incentives for Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Partners


The Microsoft Online Services Advisor (OSA) program rewards partners for influencing the sales of
Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online products, and managing the end customer relationships. Partners earn
rewards partners for acquiring new and managing new customers with Microsoft Online Services and
Enterprise Agreement (EA). These offerings reward Partners with both one-time and recurring incentives,
and help Partners develop a sustainable annuity business with Microsoft Online Services.
The benefits, requirements and training resources for cloud partners considering the Microsoft OSA
program are documented below.
Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible to receive the Online Advisor incentives for Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online, a partner
must meet the following criteria:

Enroll in the Microsoft Partner Network and have an active MPN ID.

You must meet Microsoft exam requirements for the eligible online solutions you plan to claim
incentives for.
For Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online these are as follows:
a. Requirements until December 31, 2014: One or more employees or contractors
from the partner organization are required to collectively pass the following exams
and assessments:

In order for a partner to maintain active status in the Program, the partner must contribute
towards a minimum amount of revenue (the Threshold) of the eligible products for each 12
month period from the effective date of their CSA Agreement. The threshold is $10,000 USD.
Revenue from Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online, Microsoft Dynamics CRM On Premises and
Microsoft Dynamics AX counts towards this threshold.

Incentives for Microsoft Dynamics CRM On Premises Partners


The Microsoft Dynamics Certified Software Advisor Program is a benefit for members of the Microsoft
Partner Network. The Program provides Microsoft partners a revenue opportunity, in addition to what
they can earn through Volume Licensing transactions and services engagements with customers.

Partners can collect a percentage of sales revenue in fees if they provide Volume Licensing customers
(and potential customers) assistance with pre-sales marketing, other pre-sales support services, and are
retained by the customer as the primary post-sales implementation partner for the deployment of
Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Microsoft Dynamics AX. In this document, we cover the Program
requirements and benefits for Microsoft Dynamics CRM only.
Eligibility Requirements
To receive a Microsoft Dynamics Certified Software Advisor fee on a Microsoft Dynamics CRM customer
order through Volume Licensing or a subscription, your organization must meet eligibility and certification
requirements.

Enroll in the Microsoft Partner Network.


Have a valid Microsoft Dynamics Certified Software Advisor Agreement
Submit a Claim through the Self Service Web Site.
a. Provide confirmation that you assisted with pre-sales marketing and pre-sales support
services for the applicable Volume Licensing customer transaction. You do not need to be
the ordering partner to earn CSA fees.
b. Confirm you have been retained as the primary post-sales implementation partner for the
customers software licenses on which you are claiming a CSA Incentive. This includes the
customer selecting your company as the partner of record.
c. Confirm that you:
i. Are not receiving compensation (monetary or otherwise) from the customer to
provide objective advice related to the Microsoft software or services for which
you are claiming a CSA Incentive or more generally to the acquisition of IT
technologies, products, or services (e.g., contractual, agency or fiduciary duty to
customer);
ii. That you specifically disclosed to the customer that you may be receiving an
incentive from Microsoft related to its purchase of Microsoft software or services.
