Technology description
The ACO Aeropur Plus technological line consists of mechanical and biological parts.
Mechanical part of the ACO Aeropur Plus is
composed of the aerated screen basket (1)
being submerged into the buffer tank (2).
Sludge water is supplied into the ACO Aeropur
Plus through the inlet pipe whereby it flows into
a screen basket. Coarse-grained matters are
entrapped into the screen basket and pre-treated water passes freely through the basket
screening meshes into the buffer tank space.
Screen basket is aerated intensively from
below. Air flowing through the screen basket
grinds/crushes a part of coarse-grained impurities (left-overs, paper, etc.) which leaves the
screen basket in the form of small particles
together with pre-treated water. This self-cleaning effect of the screen basket extends considerably time period of its filling and even
intervals of its emptying by the operating staff.
Hydraulic peaks at the inlet of the ACO Aeropur
Plus sewage treatment plants are eliminated
with the aid of the buffer tank from where pretreated water is pumped uniformly into the
plant biological part. Hydraulic peak equalizing
supports stable purification efficiency considerably.
Blower
Ventilation
Biological part of the ACO Aeropur Plus consists of the activation tank (3) and the built-in
final sedimentation tank (4).
Activation tank is aerated intermittently by
micro-bubble aeration. Intermittent operation
provides electric power saving up to 50 percent, and simultaneously even better purification efficiency. In the mode of aeration (nitrification) there occur degradation of organic pollution and ammonia. In the mode of aeration
break (denitrification) there is a reduction of
value of nitrogen total volume.
From the activation tank the water flows into
the final sedimentation tank. Then gravitational
separation of treated water from activated sludge is realized there. Treated water flows off the
sewage treatment plant through an outlet unit.
Activated sludge falls down to the bottom of
the final sedimentation tank from where it is
pumped and then returns sludge back to the
activation tank and partly into the storage tank
(5) as surplus sludge.
Surplus sludge is stored separately in the storage tank (5) which is capable of holding it for
100 150 days. Thanks to the separate storage tank surplus sludge does not affect purification efficiency of the ACO Aeropur Plus in any
way.
Pumping of sludge water, return sludge and
surplus sludge is carried out with the aid of airlift pumps in the ACO Aeropur Plus. These
pumps need no maintenance and they are entirely resistant to clogging. Hydraulic capacity
of the pumps is continuously adjustable even
with a very small flow of rate, which helps to
ensure uniform process of purification and thus
stable purification efficiency.
As the only electric appliance of the ACO
Aeropur Plus there is a blower supplying air
into aeration elements in the activation tank
and into air-lift pumps. Blower operation is
time-controlled. Blower intermittent operation
guarantees electric power savings up to 50
percent.
