Not too long ago we filled out our stewardship forms, or at

least a certain percentage did... the following is something I
have kept around to let you know you are important

Som tim s I think that an organization can b compar d to
my comput r -- not all th p opl in v ry organization do th
work. Mayb that p rson would say: W ll, I am not th only
p rson in this group, it is not so important that I work. But,
as you can s , for an organization to b ffici nt, it n ds th
participation of all th m mb rs.

St. Michaels Angels would like to thank everyone this past

Christmas Season for their generosity in giving this year. Your
prayers and monetary gifts for 15 families totaling 46 children
were greatly appreciated. Also would like to thank all the
volunteers who donated their time in the delivering, wrapping
of gifts, baking cookies or donated wrapping supplies. We
tried something new this year, thanks to Ron Gates, by offering
a family photo to be taken and given to each family. The
families were so grateful for everything that the Parish provided
for them at this special time of the year.

The contribution statements for calendar year 2016 are in the
back of the Church, if you would please stop by and pick
yours up. Thank you for your generous giving this past year.

PRAYERS FOR OUR PARISHIONERS

KOC FREE THROW CONTEST

The Knights of Columbus annual Free Throw Contest will be
Sunday, Feb. 5 at 1:00pm at Girard Middle School gym. All
boys & girls ages 9-14 as of Jan. 1 are eligible to participate.
First & second place winners will go on to the district contest
which is Feb. 12, also at 1:00pm at Girard Middle School.

MISSION TRIP UPDATE

The Mission trip to Costa Rica this summer led by Madison
Smith has been cancelled. Due to logistical issues, a group
from St. Michael's parish will no longer be going. However, if
you were interested or planning on going hopefullywe will be
able to spend more time planning, and be able to go on
missioneither next summer or the summer after that. Thanks
for your understanding. Please contact Madison Smith at

ROSARY HOSPITAL
If you have a rosary that needs fixed, place it in the Rosary
Hospital box in the back of church. Please include your name
and phone number, in case there are questions. If there are

PSR CANCELLATION POLICY

Reminder: any time school is not in session (weather, school
holiday) for USD 248, PSR classes are not held. The
cancellation will also be posted on the St. Michael Parish
Facebook page.

MARCH FOR LIFE

Please join Bishop Kemme in Topeka on Monday, January 23,
2017 as we pray for an end to abortion. Mass is at 11am at the
Topeka Performing Arts Center, followed by a rally at the
Capitol steps.
