How to intensify efficiency in Ozone with aquaculture

Many studies and research prove that using ozonewater treatment to enhance the waters
quality in the RAS (recirculating aquaculture systems) creates an ideal aqua environment.
Moreover, the environments in the tanks which are ozone treated are good for the health,
survival, and growth of the fish. The ozone treated water at RAS enhances the performance of
fishes as well as the cleanliness of the tank hence increasing the productivity. Due to the
growing pollution issues and extreme fishing, there is a need for amodern and efficient system
to improve aquaculture. And the ozone aquaculture water treatment is the best option we
have now. Here are some points on how does the ozonationintensifies the efficiency of
aquaculture.
Separation of harmful organic compounds
One of the reasons for the reduced performance of RAS tanks is the high organic loads mostly
in cases of tanks with a high density of fishes. There is a low rate of exchange of water causes
the organic wastes to increase. Along with that, there comes the risk of nitrate and heavy metal
accumulation. The ozone brings in the micro clumping or flocculation which helps in the
removal of the wastes by the process of filtration as well as sedimentation.By the precipitation
and oxidation process, the ozone breaks down the organic compound dissolved in the water.
Loworganic load results in little nitrite.
Efficient disinfenctant
With the stagnant water, there are several microbial development issues. The bacteria in the
water grows and increases if there are no steps taken against it. Ozone can quickly curb the
growth of the bacteria in these water. Ozone is an active component as a disinfectant because
of the high oxidation power that it has chemically. Eventhough the micro-flocculation is the
biggest advantage of ozone, the disinfection factor is another plus point.
Monitoring of the ozone treatment
Oxidation-reduction or the Redox probes are the ideal way of measuring the ozone
requirement. The redox meter comes in handy to find the amount of ozone required in mV. The
design of the ozone system should be in a manner that there is an optimum amount of ozone
supply in the water system. And the amount necessary can be measured by the Redox levels.
300 mV is the average amount of ozone or the Redox levels for the fresh waters systems. The
value of redox level also depends on the species of the water tank.
Dosage requirement for each tank

The problem comes when the determination of the dosage needs calculations. Many factors
need consideration for the ozone dosage for a reservoir. The factors include the variation of the
organic load from each tank. To get the right amount of dosage so there is no such factor
causing harm to the tank system the advanced distribution module is present. The module
helps in distribution of the ozone supply to the different branch according to the amount
required by each of these. The dosage getsestimated by the Redox rate of each tank. The
number of ozone generator aquaculture gets minimum with the help of the ozone distribution
module.
Low cost of Lifecycle
Because of this technology, there has been an improvement in the aquaculture and the life
cycle of the fishes. The ozone generators do not need maintenance after a short period. And
the low-cost ozone generators provides the right amount of ozone for each water system as
well.
