Core

Curriculum:, How do organisms change over time in

response to changes in the environment?
8th grade Chemistry of Food and Respiration
Photosynthesis, using chlorophyll, converts these elements
into more plant cells and stored food using the energy from
sunlight.
State Standards: High School
The energy for life primarily derives from the interrelated
processes of photosynthesis and cellular respiration.
Photosynthesis transforms the suns light energy into the
chemical energy of molecular bonds. Cellular respiration
allows cells to utilize chemical energy when these bonds
are broken.
State Standards: Middle School 7th grade
Photosynthesis and cellular respiration are important
processes by which energy is acquired and utilized by
organisms

The State Standards: Energy exists in many forms
such as mechanical, chemical, electrical, radiant,
