Were the Battles during the war have a strategical impact of winning the war?
There were many new technology being developed by the United States during the war, and the technology made were used in
many victorious battles throughout the war.

Unit Summary:
Students will have a complete understand of why the United States entered World War II. Students are able to analyze and
understand why different battles throughout the war had a significant role to winning the war. Students will clearly understand
the development of advanced technology assisted in winning battles throughout the war.

Lesson Activities:
Students will fill out a KWL Chart before the start of the unit lesson. Students will
then actively listen and participated in class discussion while the teacher presents a
PowerPoint presentation. Students will fill in a guided notes worksheet that will help
them understand before moving to the next on the different battles throughout
World War II.

Lesson Activities:
Students will be in groups of 4, and will create a Battle timeline project. Students
will list out 8 different battles that the U.S. had participated in during the war. This
project will require you to use internet resources to gather facts about different
battles throughout the war. Students will discuss the significant of each battle
during the war, and how each battle changed the outcome of the war. Students will
watch short length films of each battle, in order to understand what the battle was
about, and who participated in each battle. This project will help the students
complete the end of unit lesson project.

graphic organizer.

Lesson Activities:
Students will watch short films about technology advancement during World War II,
they will discuss the various technology that were used in most of the battles
throughout the war. Students will each pick a technology, and complete a graphic
organizer containing who, what, where, when, why, how. This will an individual
assignment, and each student will present their findings to the class.
