RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Research in common parlance refer to a search for knowledge, one can also define research as a
scientific and systematic search for pertinent information on a scientific topic.
According to Clifford woody research comprises defining and redefining problems,
formulating hypothesis or suggested solutions, collecting, organizing and evaluation data,
marking deductions and research and conclusion, and at last carefully testing the conclusions of
determine whether they fit the formulating hypothesis.

DRAFTING QUESTIONNAIRE:
The questionnaire is considered at the most important thing in a survey operation or project
report operation. Hence it should be carefully constructed. Structured questionnaires consist of
only fixed alternative. Such type of questionnaires is inexpensive to analysis and easy to
administer. All questions are closed ended.
SAMPLE: Sample is a set of data collected and selected from a statistical population by defined
procedures.
SAMPLING: It is concern with the selection of a sub set of individual form within a statistical
population to estimate the characteristics of the whole population.

Research Design is a framework or blueprint for conducting the market research project.
Research Design involves the following steps:
Define the information needed.
Specify the measurement and scaling procedures.
Construct an appropriate form for data collection.
Specify the sampling process and the sample size.
Develop a plan for data analysis.

SIZE OF SAMPLE: It refers to the number of items to be selected from the universe to
constitute a sample. It indicates the number of individuals who would be surveyed. Here the
sample size is 40 respondents

PRIMARY DATA
It is collected by an investigator for the first time for the purpose of statistical investigation. It is
firsthand information.

Primary Data are meant those data which are original, that is, those in which a little or no
grouping has been made, the instance being recorded as uncounted. They are essential Raw
material.
SECONDARY DATA
The secondary data are those which have already been collected by someone else and process
through statistical process. The secondary data required of the research was collected through
view newspaper and internet etc.

asking some questions.

SCOPE OF STUDY
The project aims on elicit the motivation of the employees of AURIGA LTD. For this purpose a
unit was chosen by me and the study was confined in that unit of Auriga Company. Employees
motivation is the psychological feature that encourages the employee to behave in certain
manner for accomplishing certain organizational goals. There are many ways to inspire the
employees. Create motivational conditions for your employees, and give them interesting and
meaningful work that challenges them. This work should require them to do things differently,
with more risk and uncertainty, which get them out of their comfort zone. Set the goals for your
employees and give them more responsibilities and freedom to schedule their own work. I work
on employees motivation and in the unit 40 employees fill up the questionnaire. The data have
been collected through questionnaire and analyzed by constructing pie charts and diagrams.

The questionnaire was carefully prepared to evaluate the skills, communication level and
rewards gained by the employee, which would be lead to get complete the project.
