secure investment
for the future
Optimum protection at
all voltage levels between
5 kV and 500 kV
As a universal protection device, the SIPROTEC 7SA6 distance protection relay can be
implemented at all voltage
levels. Proven and 100% typetested function packages are
available for various application areas in resonantearthed, isolated-neutral or
earthed-neutral systems.
A family of Devices

for any installation location
DIGSI 4
easy to use
Retrofittable communication
modules are available for all
SIPROTEC 7SA6 distance protection devices. This means
you can and will be able to
satisfy today's and future
requirements of different
communications protocols. At
the same time, absolutely all
SIPROTEC devices can be
operated via modem and/or
star coupler and communicate
with higher-level control and
protection systems such as
SICAM.
Open communication
standards
Communication by IEC protocol and PROFIBUS: the international, standardized interface defined in IEC 60870-5103 has proven itself as an
open communications standard for connecting protection
equipment from different vendors. Alternatively, other forms
of fieldbus interfacing, via
PROFIBUS or other protocols,
are also available with
SIPROTEC 4 widely implemented standards, particularly
in the fields of control and
protection systems and automation engineering.
