Reuters, Thomson. Self-Defense Overview Thomson Reuters law firm (2016) web.
15 Nov2016
<http://criminal.findlaw.com/criminal-law-basics/self-defense-overview.html>
In this article, Reuters indicates how much force or violence is sufficient/
acceptable when defending oneself from an attacker. After many years as a Criminal
lawyer, His extensive knowledge offers explanations on the broad concepts that make
up self-defense law in the US. Reuters describes real life situations where the intended
victim is often in fear of immediate physical harm. But there's a point where the force by
the victim against an assailant would be considered retaliatory and not self-defense.
This article provides a sufficient amount of information regarding the legalities of selfdefense; it will help support my background research on knowing the right
circumstances to defend yourself in an unwanted situation by showing examples of real
events that can occur while pointing out the social issues you are presented with. I want
to know what social and verbal signs to look for when deciding to defend myself
physically.
