ARRIVAL PROCEDURES
AMS: NA321000-01, NA321000-02 (Freighter only)

1.
Establish intercom contact with flight crew and advise Chocks in position and
confirm aircraft status.
2.
For all flights, connect ground power and air conditioning as per CX minimal APU
usage policy.
NOTE:
i) FOR HKG, REPORT APU RUNNING VIA AML TI ENTRY WITH REASON
FOR STARTING APU EARLY & BAY NO.
ii) FOR LINE STATIONS, REFER TO LOCAL STATION PROCEDURE MANUAL
(SPM) FOR LOCAL PROCEDURES.
3.
Prior to installing landing gear downlock safety pins, check safety clip is attached to
the downlock pin, and inspect downlock pin streamers for wear, dirt and
discoloration, replace as necessary.
NOTE: FOR LINE STATION, RAISE ADD IF NIL STOCK.
4.
Install landing gear downlock safety pins if schedules ground time is greater than 6
hours or if work requirements dictate the use of safety pins.
NOTE:
AN ENTRY SHALL BE MADE IN THE MAINTENANCE LOG STATING
SAFETY PINS HAVE BEEN FITTED.
5.
Fit tail support stanchion or nose tie down straps prior to loading / unloading.
(APPLICABLE TO FREIGHTER AIRCRAFT ONLY)
NOTE: AMM 07-11-08
6.
Pull all grey capped circuit breakers in the flight station as soon as possible after
landing.

A. Left and right hand horizontal stabilizers and vertical fin including elevators and
rudders.
B. All cargo doors, ram air inlets, service doors and exits, wing to body fairing and
external fuselage.
C. Radome.
D. Left and Right hand wing leading edge & lower surfaces. Left and right hand
ailerons, flaps and spoilers.
E. Aft fuselage and drain masts for evidence of ground contact on T/O or landing,
including BS 2360 to 2792 (section 48) from ground level.
F. APU compartment doors for security and leakage.
G. Oxygen blowout disc intact (adjacent fwd cargo door).
H. Static ports, TAT, pitot/static probes and angle of attack sensor for obvious
damage.
I. Navigation / communications antennas for damage (from ground level).
J. Water / waste service assembly and nose jacking point blanking plug fitted for
condition (from ground level).
NOTE:
IF FUSELAGE BELLY AREA IS CONTAMINATED WITH TOILET FLUID, RAISE
A DEFERRED DEFECT IN THE MAINTENANCE LOG FOR CLEANING AT
EARLIEST CONVENIENT TIME.

Tyres for wear and condition as per MMB 4-32-012-744, and presence of tie bolt
nuts.

Oleo struts for correct extension. Ensure that the exposed portion of the oleo inner
cylinders is clean.

Gear wells for general condition and leaks, as far as visible from the ground.
NOTE:
THE LANDING GEAR DOORS ARE CLOSED.

(Revised)
1. Prior to any flight of more than 7 hours duration, service the engine oil tanks as per
AMM.
2. For ANY other flight, service any engine that is indicating 18 units or less.
3. Maintenance Log recording:A. Record the actual indicated oil quantity at departure in the ENG DEPART
QTY block.
B. Record amount of oil added in litres (if any) in the ENG UPLIFT block.
NOTE:
A. ALWAYS WAIT FOR 10 MINUTES AFTER ENGINE SHUTDOWN BEFORE
CHECKING OIL QUANTITY.
B. REFER MMB 4-20-1 FOR OIL SPECIFICATION.
C. REFER TO AMM FOR THE CORRECT OIL LEVEL.
D. FOR PW ENGINE, OIL QUANTITY CHECK MUST BE DONE WITHIN 2
HOURS AFTER ENGINE SHUT DOWN.

After all works completed, Certifying staff conducts a visual inspection to ensure all
disturbed oil filler cap(s) is/are installed correctly and secure.

Perform inspection for presence of water in the forward main deck floor and after
cargo is loaded and before L1 door is closed for departure.

Perform potable water tanks servicing as per AMM 12-14-01 (for passenger aircraft) and
12-14-61 (for freighter aircraft).
NOTE:
i. STATION UPLIFT POLICY IS LAID DOWN IN THE EOMP 7B-7-1, PLEASE
REFER TO THIS FOR UPLIFT AND SERVICING REQUIREMENTS.
ii. DRAIN POTABLE WATER WHEN GROUND TIME IS PLANNED TO EXCEED
6 HOURS EXCEPT WHERE WATER UPLIFT IS NOT PERMITTED (REF EOMP
7B-7-1).

Perform inspection of all toilet shroud/bowl panel for plastic blue seal Part No. 3340
condition.

Perform inspection toilet bowl (bottom area) access panel of First Class toilet (VIP
toilet) for security seal Part No. F002356 (transparent sticker) condition.
4.
No further action if the seal/sticker have not been broken or show no sign of
tampering.
5.
If the security sticker or blue plastic seal has been tampered with or shows sign of
damaged, open the PSU header/compartment, toilet shroud and toilet bowl access
panel at VIP toilet to conduct a thorough physical search for prohibited or
contraband items.

Notify ISM the area behind toilet bowl has been inspected and security seal is
installed.

PRE-DEPARTURE CHECK

1.
Perform pre-departure walk around check to ensure all doors/panels and cowlings are
closed and secured with no evidence of external damage.
- Verify fwd and aft lower cargo doors are correctly latched as per MMB 4-52-1
- Check aircraft is free of ice and snow.
- Ensure all equipment compartments exterior doors are closed.
