September 2004 - Present
Fifth grade teacher (5 years) teaching all disciplines with a focus on STEM. Designated 5th Grade EL
classroom.
Sixth grade teacher middle school (5 years), teaching science and social studies. Teaching included
team taught ESL/ELL classes, team taught SpEd classes, Pre-AP classes, and general education classes.
Second grade teacher (1 year). Team taught with 3 other teachers. Daily meeting and planning and
working very closely with team members. Teaching in mainly two different roles: as a traditional
classroom teacher and as a small group reading specialist.

Taught first, second, and fifth grade; M.S., & H.S. Targeted Services, both during the school year and
summer school. Focused on developing students reading and math skills.

Taught sixth grade and fourth grade at Eisenhower Elementary. Implemented the districts curriculum,
worked closely with both my grade-level and my multi-grade-level teams planning and executing daily
lessons and long term projects. Maintained positive teacher/parent relationships, worked hard to keep
communication lines open through phone calls, email, and personal conferences.
Summer School/ALC Teacher, Hopkins School District
Summers 2002 - 2004
Taught ALC Basic Skills for three summers. Worked with underprivileged students, who either come
from low income or family change households. Worked with many at-risk students who are below
grade level in either Reading or Math.

Kids & Company after school program: duties included homework help, building peer-to-peer social
skills, and building positive student/adult relationships with a group of 30-40 students.
