also talk about the events that happen during that festival.
3. Students will do a circle map about the events that they see in
the pictures.
4. Students will role play and act out a situation where they are
celebrating a festival. Students will talk about their chosen festival.
Formative Assessment: Students can say at least 5 simple
sentences related to festivals.

1. Ss will complete a KWL chart about what they know, wonder and
what they have learnt about cultural taboos.
2. Teacher will provide a text pertaining to cultural taboos in
Malaysia and Ss will highlight the difficult words.
3. Ss will write the words they dont understand on the whiteboard
and T will discuss those words with the class.
4. Ss will then work in groups to come up with a graphic organizer
(in the form of a double bubble map of dos and donts) about the
cultural taboos in Malaysia.
5. Ss will present their groupwork to the class.
Formative Assessment: Ss can get at least 7/10 answers correct
in the graphic organizer they made.

comments about their friends work and also underline sentences
that can be improved.
4. Ss will volunteer to write down their sentences on the whiteboard.
Formative Assessment:
1. Ss will write a paragraph of about 100 words about their best
friend and talk about the positive qualities of their best friend.
