Knee Exercise -
A Remedy
for
Knee Pains
How many of you have experienced knee wo
problems? If you have then you will know bow
uncomfortable and restricting these injuries
can be. Many overlook bow simple exercises
can strengthen and increase flexibility of the
Joints, that is until they need them.
Knee joints bear most of the
burden of human activities. As they are
involved in all the movements of a
man's life such as walking,
moving, siting, lying, rum
jumping they are
the knee against
the chest as close
as possible before
replacing it on the
floor. Do the same
movement again
with the other leg.
Repeat the pro-
cess with both
legs 10 t0 25 times

This exer
helps inerease the
flexibility of the
knee joints. If you
find it too difficule
bend your
knees or to stand
steady, you may
do. the exercise
whilst lying on
your back. Try to
hold the knee as
close to the chest
as possible.
2, Sand with both legs together and
bend both knees half way down, Place
both hands on the knees and rotate
them slowly first from the left to the
Fight, 10 to 15 times and then from the
right to the left ten to fifteen times. Do
not tum too fast oF too vigorously

the knee ligaments, helps. increase
their flexibility and relieves pain
caused by rheumanthrits.
3. Stand with the feet shoulder width.
spar. Place both hands on the knees
and squat downwards until your hips
touch the lower part of your legs. Hold
that position for a while before rising
slowly. Repeat ten to fifteen times

This exercise helps strengthen
the muscles in the legs
Constant practice of these
exercises will help alleviate knee
symptoms. It will be more effective if
you do the exercises and, at the same
time, take medical treatment. But
‘case of acute articular rheumatism,
injury and swelling and congestion in
the knee joints, stop practising until the
symptoms are alleviated. AS to the
pains caused by problems like
meniscus injury and chondromalacia,
