#cd /JavaDesktop/etc
#cp grub.conf /root
#vi /root/grub.conf
Now cut the lines required to boot java desktop (only) from this file
and keep it as a separate file (for example keep it as /root/jd). This
file will look like:
==========================================================
========
title Mandrake 10 (2.6.3-4)-smp
kernel (hd0,4)/boot/vmlinuz-smp root=/dev/hda5 devfs=mount acpi=ht
resume=/dev/hda3 splash=silent
initrd (hd0,4)/boot/initrd-smp.img
==========================================================
========
Now do the following:
#vi /etc/grub.conf
6.
7.
rootnoverify (hd0,0)
chainloader +1
