SIGNIFICANCE OF THE TRANSIT OF SATURN - I

Once again, in a short period we are going to witness far reaching effects of Saturn-Jupiter
opposition this time from Mesha and Tula, as Saturn transits into Tula on 15 November. In
my earlier piece Indias Ineffectual Fight Against Corruption of 13 June 2011, I had written
in clearest terms.
The full vehemence of Saturn in the sixth house will become fully visible in this
sub period of Saturn. It is clearly a year of chaotic thinking and some
unimaginable tragedy for the party.
Saturns transit now in the eighth house will prove one of some gain in one direction as in
two north Indian states where elections are due, in Punjab and Uttarakhand etc. it may
even capture power and in UP it may be in a position for power sharing.
As both Saturn and Jupiter aspect the tenth house of this party, it should show significant
changes, one in improving its position in some forthcoming elections and a major structural
change.
The tragedy I had hinted at on 13 June came to be known to us on 4 August when the
nation came to know of the ailment of Sonia Gandhi. This transit of Saturn clearly now
shows a major change, with possibly Rahul Gandhi succeed-ing her as party president. And
some big tragedy hinted at may be in the early months of 2012, may be in February.Greater
worry is about Iran whose correct horoscope is doubtful, I am told by a friend in Iran as
Ayotollah had come into power on 1 Feb 1979 earlier than the time given by Campion.
Falling back on the Hindu New Year horoscope, series of internal disturbances, may be
inspired from outside, and even an attack on its nuclear weapon is a distinct possibility now.
The Anna Hazare movement will continue and now with both Baba Ramdeo and Sri Sri
Ravishankar also jumping into it, it can be wider. But the prevailing confusion will get
thickened thick even as the estimate of the losses from 2G scandal have been questioned by
his own retired deputy R.P.Singh and the cash for votes cases taking bizaree turn with even
Radha Raman Singh being involved in it. In west Asia, the revolutions will continue and take
violent turn with Syria facing the fury of it most.

Saturn in the seventh house of Pakistans horoscope and Jupiter in the lagna in transit now,
clearly shows, particularly in the mahadasha of Venus, the seventh lord, a very significant
change in the top level administrative set up of Pakistan, affecting President Zardari and
even the possible change in its foreign policy. That can be seen in detail later.
US CHINA COLD WAR
Of immediate concern to the world is the growing US-China tensions, with India also getting
involved in the South Vietnamese seas in its project for the exploration of oil. Claiming it to
be their ancient territory, not recognised now in the present international context and the
international law governing and defining territorial waters, Chinese aggressive postures and
US policy of the encirclement of China with recently strengthened military ties
with Australia (which fought every war with USA in the twentieth and twenty first century),
world seems to be creeping to something similar to the encirclement of USSR in the post

second world days. In a way, we are back to the cold war days with China replacing USSR,
and America in spite of its economic tensions domestically, not giving up its military
ambition to remain dominant in the world.

China will be aggressive in its present mahadasha of Saturn in the eighth house showing its
secret and open preparation to meet these challenges, particularly in the antardashas of
Moon , the seventh lord and Mars in the seventh house and exalted in the navamsha.
Saturn now in Tula also aspects the seventh house of China. With Saturn Jupiter affecting
the tenth house of China, there
is going to be a very significant
change in the top ranks of
Chinese administration.
The strategic geographical
isolation of USA has always
given it an enviable advantage
in both world wars but in the
era of long range nuclear
missiles, it more vulnerable
now than ever before. It is well
known that China has its
nuclear missiles pointing
towards USA to destroy its
four major cities. Recently, the
former US president Bush has
said that the enemy number of
China is USA and number two
India.
In both world wars, USA had
joined it later abandoning its
policy of Monroe Doctrine and
after the second world war, it
has buried that doctrine
fathoms deep in the seas of the
world. In every decade since
the end of the cold war,
USA has been involved in more
than two or three wars which it started or provoked. CIA, described as worlds biggest
terrorist by many, has spread its tentacles all over the world more dangerously in the post
cold war world.
USA will be particularly aggressive now as the mahadasha of Mars has started, and Mars is
aspecting both the sixth lord, Saturn and the sixth house of territorial defence and attack.
Both from the lagna, Simha, and Moon in Kumbha, the present transit of Saturn Jupiter can
also help USA overcome partly, the trauma of its economic depression through concerted
measures and fresh legislation.
ISRAEL
For its survival, surrounded as it is with unfriendly Muslim countries, witnessing a revival of

Islamic fundamentalism in Tunisia, Egypt and Libya. Israel now finds its own existence
threatened by the menace of a nuclear Iran. And Iran has never made a secret of its
intention to wipe out Israel from the face of the world. In its present dasha of Moon
conjoined with the sixth lord Saturn, it can plan anytime now to launch an attack on Iran
without waiting for world cooperation or opinion . There is IAEA report that Iran is
developing nuclear weapons.
Though in this period with Saturn Jupiter occupying the one seven axis of the Syrian
horoscope and Assad is fighting for his survival and final exit now, Israel is not likely to get
any respite.
In the Wikileaks, it was revealed that Saudi Arabia, a Sunny fundamentalism nation, wanted
USA to act against Shia Iran quickly. It is now that both USA and Israel will act quickly and
involve the west Asian nations in war. As it, after quitting Iraq, USA has still stationed its
troops around Iraq to prevent Iran influencing Iraq through its vast Shia population.
In short, this Saturn Jupiter axis will provoke and support some fears raised by the dire
predictions of the Mayan calendar. Added to that is worry about the safety of the nuclear
arsenal of Pakistan.
It means that worlds biggest policeman, US A will have no respite which ofcourse never
wanted after the end of the second world war.

LOVE ADDICTION : DOPAMINE

I was sitting with Praveen Agarwal , who had come from Bombay, when the parents of the
girl whose horoscope is given here, but whose identity is not disclosed, came to meet me
after some years without any previous appointment. Being family friends, such liberties are
permitted by me and taken by them.
Their problem discussed, their gratitude expressed, their decency exhibited which is rare
these days, they left. Praveen asked me to discuss how I had advised them about the love
addiction of their daughter seven years ago and how their daughter had not fallen into a bad
trap and a wrong decision. Are these rare stories, I wonder, these days?
Television channels were giving extensive coverage to the painfully sensitive case of Arushi
Talwar case and the CBI accusing the parents of murdering her after , it is being said, after
they had discovered their thirteen year daughter, in a compromising position with their
servant, Hemraj. There is also the news that today (24 May) was the hottest day of May this
year. A westerly disturbance and a storm and some rain will give us some relief in a couple
of days is what can be expected now.
And we were discussing what is a very common problem--the love addiction of teenage girls
and boys, their insistence to marry their lover and the agony of parents. What do we call
this--infatuation, a passion without any rational thinking, an emotional storm which
becomes an addiction when sexual attraction is central ?
What then is love ? Is there anything like real Platonic love, an impersonal love, a sweet
emotion in which physical possession is not at the core of the feeling ?
Call it what you like, but for some Indian parents it is a moment of crisis and for the girl,
particularly the girl and some boys, there is a determination to achieve it--to marry the
lover at any cost. How many crimes are being committed now these days, when such

infatuation is uncontrolled and parents are scolding their children ? The media covers some
such incidents when they are reported, the astrologers know many when parents, trusting
them, reveal details. And there is honour killing too.
In this case, the girl had come to me with her aunt, not trusting her parents. It was the
period of Venus-Rahu. Venus is the seventh lord and Rahu and Mars were gripping the natal
Moon. The aggression of Mars and the effect of Rahu is infatuation here, not a platonic love
at all. She was in her early twenties with strong sex hormones.
Through other methods and dashas, it was clearer and confirmed.
It was the year 2001 when in transit, both Jupiter and Saturn in Vrisha, her seventh house
and Rahu in the eight house, Mithuna and Mars in Dhanu aspecting it had made matters
worse.
Her aunt had met me many times before. But the girl was seeing me for first time. I stated
her problem without her having to tell me. She smiled and perhaps thought that I would
predict it approvingly. I did just the opposite and told her to wait for two years and more,
telling her that it was a wrong choice, a disastrous one. She was annoyed. She did not
abuse me but her grimace had conveyed it all. It has happened to me many times before. I
have to tolerate it for the sake of my friends who are anxious parents.
The girl went away and told her
aunt loudly enough for me to
hear that she would never again
come to consult me. It has
happened to me many time
before.
Then her guru, spiritual guru,
intervened. The girl found out
herself that the boy was illeducated, immoral vagabond
wanting to become an actor in
Bombay and except running
after girls, he achieved nothing.
The girl was disillusioned.
The antardasha of Rahu was
over and came Jupiter now.
Jupiter is in Kanya with Venus
the seventh aspecting the
seventh house. Navamsha
confirm it so well.
She asked her aunt to arrange a
meeting with me, now
disillusioned, and wanting real guidanceunlike two years ago when she had lost her mental
balance in the sub period of Rahu.
You will have a good, orthodox marriage approved by your parents and lead a good
married life. I told her.
When she had asked me.

Very soon, anytime, I told her and few weeks after that the parents got a good MBA boy
with a good salary and good family for her. She accepted it cheerfully and thanked me once.
Coming with her husband another time she gave me some presents also.
Her parents reminded it of and thanked me again now when it was not necessary. Their
daughter has two children and is well settled in a happy married life. A disaster was
avoided, the parents said again.
After they left and after Praveen left, I asked myself in how many cases can such disastrous
marriage be avoided ? The astrologer can only see the horoscope, the dasha pattern and
advise. In some cases it gets prevented, in some cases the disaster takes place, the girls
divorces, remarries and settles down in married life seriously. In some cases terrible crimes
take place.
What is the role of an astrologer in all this ?
None at all. He sees the horoscope sees the dasha pattern and advises according to his own
capacity. Whatever is destined to happen, happens.
When ? Well we call it the Wheel of Time, the Bhagwan we call Kaal.

Presidential poll 2012
The UPA has officially announced Pranab Mukherjee as their presidential
candidate. Congress president Sonia Gandhi made the announcement today. Times
of India.
The mahadasha of Saturn is generally the best for politicians in a democracy if it owns the
lagna, seventh or the tenth house and is involved in conjunction with the lagna, fourth,
tenth , eleventh house and/or also aspects the tenth house or the tenth lord or the fourth
house and the fourth lord or is exalted as it was in the case of Indira Gandhi , George Bush
the former president of USA, his father H.W.Bush, Chandersekhar, a former Indian prime
minister even Amitabh Bachchan the actor, Deve Gowda former prime minister, Gulzari Lal
Nanda and scores of others.

Years ago, when I was given this horoscope by him and was asked to keep it confidential, I
wrote an article in the Star Teller of November 2004 WATCH HIM RISE without disclosing
his name or any further details. That was the briefest article I ever wrote. There a story
seemed to end, a hint given was forgotten. Then when the newspapers started talking about
him being the favorite for the post of president of India in 2012, elections for which are to
be held in the second week of July, I had to request the Star Teller editor to send me a copy
of the article. I had concluded the article saying As the year 2004 approaches the end,
his luck should be stronger than ever before. (Written on 10 September 2004).
From 20 September 2011, his antardasha of Venus in the mahadasha of Saturn started--that enigmatic period in which , as the saying goes in Hindi, one becomes a raja from rank
or a rank from raja meaning
becomes a beggar from the
position a king or a king from

meaning rises very high or
sinks.
It was the horoscope of Pranab

The mention of his name for
presidential election made me

records. One noting there is

Mukherji is a singer of Rabindra
Sangeet. I checked to see if she
would become the first lady
after her husband becomes the
president of India. The answer
was positive. The date of
marriage noted was 13 July
1957. Mr. Mukherji is the fourth
child of his parents with two
sisters and one brother elder to

him and three sisters younger. Mrs. Mukherji is the first child of her parents and has a
younger brother.
As to the elections, I do not have the horoscopes of the other contestants in the race. From
the newspaper reports and television discussions, there appears to be no doubt about his
getting elected easily.
An astrological analysis may be only a formality in these circumstances but still a glance can
be had at the dasha and possibilities.
First at a glance: the transits Saturn in transit is on his tenth lord, Mars, in Kanya and
Jupiter from Vrisha is aspecting it which is very favorable. And it is also the tenth house
from his birth Moon in Kanya.
From his wifes lagna (Dhanu) Saturn is in the tenth house aspected by Jupiter from Vrisha.
Her antardasha is that of Sun in the tenth house. I am not revealing her horoscope.
Coming back to the horoscope of Mr.Mukherji, he is passing through the dasha of Saturn
Venus in the eighth house with Mercury.
Venus as the fourth lord is the simhasana or throne and as the eleventh lord gain. In the
eighth house of surprises which is what happened as his name became a sudden and
surprising choice as the newspapers say.
Saturn in the eighth house generally disrupts a career and even when it gives a position in a
surprising way, that career is brief or cut short as happened both in the cases of Gulzari Lal
Nanda who was prime minister twice for a brief period, once after the death of Nehru and
later after the death of Lal Bahadur Shastri, though he had long enough stint as a minister
at the center. The career of FDR was cut short in his fourth term; though he had long three
terms as the president of USA.
The elections will be fought in Saturn-Venus- Moon and the pratyantara dasha lord, Moon is
in the sixth house in the lagna and the tenth house in the dashamansha.
In Chara dasha it will be Simha dasha from where AmK Marss aspects the eleventh house
while Jupiter, the planet denoting the president generally in mundane astrology, aspects the
tenth house (Jaimini aspect).
The antardasha is Kanya which has the Amatyakaraka and the pratyantara dasha will be
Vrisha from where the fifth and tenth houses show dignity, the dignity of the first citizen of
India.
There is a negative side to it also. His wifes health does not seem to be good at all in this
period. It seems to be deteriorating gradually and may be worse at the end of this year and
next year. If seen more closely, the health of Mr. Mukherji itself may not be good in 2014.
Will he complete the term?
At the moment, he seems to be winning the election very easily.

PRESIDENT PRANAB MUKHERJI

Two trips outside Delhi and outside India in the month of June gave me only three or four
days after the second week to write any piece for the website and two pieces were written.
After returning, adjusting the body clock and wishing to see the results of the presidential
elections, I waited and then decided to write this piece. Pranab Mukherji has been sworn as
president at 11/27 am today 25/7/2012. Work on this horoscope.
The reviews which appeared showed that I have wasted my time in telling some people that
website birth details are not reliable. I have written about it many times. Here are two
instances.
ATAL BEHARI VAJPAI - HOW MANY HOROSCOPES?
In the year 2000 a biography of his came out in Hindi giving these birth details with
Vrischika lagna and birth details as 25 Dec 1924. After that I revealed these all birth details
which I had since 1996, as now it was not a secret anymore. I do not know why even now
people argue about his year of birth being 1925 or 1926. See some websites.

Lal Bahadur Shastri
Dr.B.V.Raman, Hardeo Sharmaji, Suryanarain Vyasji used his horoscope with 9th October as
the date and so did Sri Iranganti Rangacharya recently. In the souvenir brought out on
Shastrijis death anniversary some years ago, Moon is shown in Kanya in the horoscope
given, while on 2 October 1904 it will be in Mithuna.
Website data is undependable
Some hurried comments show that readers do no read the article intelligently and some do
not seem to know astrology well enough. See two instances :
1. Mars is in Virgo, a dual rashi. How Mars can aspect 11th house which is Sthira Rashi?
2. Mars Amatyakaraka (in Kanya) aspects the eleventh house from Simha whose dasha is
referred to.
Another comment was why the prediction was not made earlier. I have referred to my
article of 2004 in which I had said WATCH HIM RISE. I have already said that it was an
article published in the Star Teller of November 2004. The prediction was given eight years
before. What was the reason ? Kanya dasha was starting from 2005 and here there is
Amatyakaraka.
IN THE EARLIER PIECE
I had written some personal details noted in my records after meeting both husband and

wife, Mr and Mrs Mukherji and done astrological reading and here are some wild guesses by
some that the birth details are inaccurate!!

2. After the death of Rajiv Gandhi, he could not become prime minister again.
3. In 2004, Sonia Gandhi preferred Manmohan Singh. Someone had then asked me if
Pranab Mukherji would never rise higher, being a senior cabinet minister already. Higher has
to mean either becoming the prime minister or the president of India. I WROTE THE
ARTICLE THEN AND SAID THAT HE WOULD RISE. THE PREDICTION WAS MADE IN 2004,
AND IN 2012, I ONLY REFERRED TO IT. LET ME CLARIFY I WAS NOT MAKING A PREDICTION
AFTER SRI PRANAB NAME WAS ANNOUNCED FOR THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS. IT WAS
MADE MUCH EARLIER.
In navamsha both AK and Amk and PK aspect each other mutually. The reason is obvious
and the dasha was favorable.
CORRECTION
I had two horoscopes and the wrong one was posted in the earlier piece for which I am
sorry.
The actual time noted in my records in my own handwriting is: 1 February 1935/ 17/23

I use horoscopes of celebrities, big and famous people very cautiously because of a very
terrible experience I had with the birth details of Babu Jagjiwan Ram once. I use only those
which are given to me by the person concerned or his son, daughter or wife or even
husband in the case of female celebrity and am asked to keep it confidential for some time
or years. After that only I use them, if necessary in my articles without betraying
confidences. For example, I have not disclosed the horoscope of the retired president
Smt.Pratibha Patil and have seen wrong horoscope of hers used in different places. So it
was in the case of the late Bhairon Singh Shekhawat when he was contesting for the post of
the president against Pratibha Patil, as the following letter will clarify.

This was about the late Bhairon Singh Shekhawat and the correspondence with his doctor
who is continuing as the doctor also of the present vice president seeking re-election, Shri
Ansari.
Knowing the trickiness of politicians, I asked him whether the same birth details (that which
appeared in different journals and website were different) were given to all astrologers or
not.
I know from my experience that politicians oblige astrologers by giving to different
astrologers different birth details about the same individual.
In the case of Shri Pranab Mukherji I havealso mentioned some family details in the earlier
piece on him.
Let me mention that I met Shri Mukherji and his wife twice personally more than two
decades ago when I got this horoscope.
Significant and notable in the case of Shri Mukherji is that lagna was not changing if the
birth place was different but the degrees would; Jaimini Karakas were not changing and so
the Chara dasha of Kanya was appearing clearly to be the period of his rise and later, Simha
from where Amatyakaraka aspects the eleventh house, still more important for his career.
People forget some elementary principles of interpretation. Saturn in the eighth house of
politicians, as in the case of Shri Gulzari Lal Nanda, late Chandrasekhar, the late Indian
prime and in the case of Shri Mukherji is mostly the case of opportunities denied and one
rare opportunity becoming significant but not durable. There are other such combinations
as can be in the horoscopes of Lal Bahadur Shastri, Charan Singh and Gordon Brown.
Karka lagna explains the missed chances of Shri Mukherji and the same eighth house is the
cause of worry for his wifes health, if you know about it.

In news is another important man to whom, on his correct horoscope, I have predicted
success. Already on the website some wild guesses, like in the case of Shri Mukherji of his
having been born on 11-12-1935 08-49-20 hrs. have been made.
Also remember that when horoscopes cast by astrologers is given to you and the birth time
is mentioned without clarifying whether it is IST or LMT, verification of life events becomes
necessary.
Do not use the horoscopes of Indias famous men, in politics or in the cinema world mainly
unless fully assured by a trusted friend astrologer or the person himself and burn your
fingers. Even the mother of Emperor Akbar misled people with the birth details of her world
famous son, if you know and read history. English historians not knowing astrology arrived
at a wrong date. If the horoscope of Akbar by Jyotik Rai in Akbar Nama was seen and the
date calculated astronomically, the correct date would have been arrived at.

Saturns influence on the tenth house as in the case of Hitler, Mussolini, Saddam Hussein,
Indira Gandhi and others starts with ripples grows into gigantic waves, sweeps them into
power and also causes their downfall. Modi has to have Saturn in the tenth house. But if
such a Saturn is in the eight house it becomes a handicap as in the case of great Subhas
Chandra Bose.

THE ART OF PREDICTION - THE PLAIN ASTROLOGICAL APPROACH 1

What we teach in the classes we run is a plain approach to predictions first based on
the birth horoscope and mainly springing from the birth horoscope. The varga charts are
referred to for confirmation not for the main prediction.
Use only a seven karaka scheme of Jaimini and use Chara dasha as I have shown
repeatedly.
The chances of astrology getting perverted in these days of website astrology, television
gibberish which passes for astrology and the greedy emphasis on shantis/ upayas
or remedies is great. When I told this to some people who have not studied in the BVB they
asked me to illustrate it and that is what I will do in this series.

Vrisha- Dhanu- Makara from 13 April 2008 to 14 May 2008.
It is the horoscope of a woman journalist who have been getting astrological
consultations from me for herself and her husband for some years now. She had to leave
her job for some months to look after her child. She now wanted to get back to her
journalistic life. She asked me sometime in March 2008 about it. In the Vimshottari dasha it
was Mercury-Jupiter-Rahu from 28 Jan 2008 to 31 May 2008.
Mercury is aspecting the second house and the lord of the antardasha, Jupiter is in
the eleventh house from Mercury. The pratyantara dasha lord Rahu is in the
4/10 axis from Jupiter, second from Mercury.
Now see the dashamansha Mercury is in the tenth house while Jupiter is the tenth lord and
Rahu too is in the tenth house. It is a good period for her to come back into her journalistic
life.
In Jaiminis Chara dasha it is Vrisha- Dhanu- Makara from 13 April 2008 to 14 May
2008. Vrisha has the amatyakaraka, Sun, from Dhanu the AMK aspects the eleventh
house but as soon Makar pratyantara dasha would be reached, it would be aspecting the
tenth house.
I asked her to try for a job right now and she should land a job before the end of May.
She rang me up to tell me that she had got a very good job in a weekly to be launched
soon under the editorship of famous editor who till last month was editing a daily from
Delhi. She was happy as the job would give her ample opportunity to look after her child
and also get back into active journalism.

She rang me up and asked me for an urgent consultation. Both in Shillong and Calcutta and
later in Delhi I got horoscopes of people who were doubtful about their birth details, having
lost their original horoscopes during their migration in 1947 from the riot torn areas of what
now are Pakistan and Bangladesh. It was so in her case also. But the memory of someone in
the family helped her retrieve her birth details is what she told me.
In the case of women, most people in northern India rarely kept correct birth details those
days when she was born. A woman was a disposable commodity who would enter her
husbands house and could be neglected unlike the boy, has been and continues to be the
favoured child of the family. It is the view of many even now.

Was the horoscope correct?

Karakamsha lagna is Simha and Putrakaraka is Mercury with Jupiter showing pure
inclination towards humanities, not science during her student days.
Before any prediction is given it becomes the primary consideration. In such cases, just note
down the birth details as are passed on and do not indulge in exercise of correcting it which
can be done later.
The birth horoscope and the navamsha showed either a bad marriage or no marriage. Not
married she said.
What had she studied is what I was interested in finding out myself without her telling me
as that is invariably a good starting point of the verification of a horoscope.
Moon, an artistic planet, unafflicted in the eleventh house aspects the fifth house. The fifth
lord, Mars is with Sun and Venus. Karakamsha lagna is Simha and Putrakaraka is Mercury
with Jupiter showing pure inclination towards humanity in her studies.
What should the predominant influence of fifth house and its lord with artistic planets mean?
Education in fine arts ? That was the question I asked.
She had done MA (music) she said.
Was it classical I asked because of the influence of Jupiter on the putrakaraka.
Yes, classical Hindustani music she said.
But does she do any business ? Yes she said, in clothes.

The dashamansha will work. I can proceed to give her some predictions on this horoscope
without correcting her birth time.

some doubt whether hers was Vrischika lagna
or Tula. She was confused about the
ayanamsha to be used that was another
question.
When such a case comes up note
the prominent features of the horoscope and
the dasha and antardasha of three or four
past years, see the dasha antardasha in
Vimshottari and Chara dasha and ask some
striking question.
The lagna, Vimshottari dasha and
Jaimini karakas of people born at the same
time will remain the same. To distinguish one
from the other, divisional horoscopes need to
be prepared. But as far as the person before
you is concerned, first verify whether this horoscope is fitting into his/her pattern of life.

In 2004, it was dasha of Jupiter Mercury. In Chara dasha it was the dasha of Vrisha and
Kumbha. Atmakaraka is in Vrisha. It coincides with Jupiter-Mercury dasha in the eighth
house. The antardasha starting from Kumbha is significant. Kumbha is eighth
from Karakamsha in Karka. Then the antardasha of Makara and then of Dhanu do not seem
to be happy period in her life.
Remember the warning I have given repeatedly given about the Dhanu dasha. Dhanu is also
sixth from Karakamsha and eighth from Atmakaraka-- dangerous in three ways. From 2003
Rahu and Saturn were transitting in Vrisha and Mithuna. All this appeared to be bleak.
Yes. She had a fatal disease in this period.
Medical astrology ? What could this be she asked me ? I said that I cannot say and do not
believe in medical astrology as all the doctor students whom I asked to work on medical

astrology has been hundred percent failures. They only learnt from me from the period of
onset of sickness and its outcome and even wrote articles or books. Their own contribution
to medical astrology is a big zero. Then there are other non-medical astrologers reeling off
wild researches on various diseases particularly diabetes and heart attack. All these are
untested and unproven mostly wild and boastfully loud pieces paraded as researches.
She told me about the disease and she survived is what she told me. You can even try
Dwisaptati Sama Dasha on which Manoj Pathak has done excellent and original research. It
was Rahu-Mars both in the seventh house with heaviest affliction with the added aspect of
Saturn. Then other events can be verified as they will fall in a pattern in a sequence.
That is chara dasha and the seven karaka scheme for you.
Ayanamsha lunatics
She had some confusion about ayanamsha.Use only Lahiri ayanamsha and do
not get lost in the lunacy of the claims of others about their ayanamsha which is
unproven, untested and wild.
Remember government of India has settled this in 1956 and another meeting convened by
the Human Resources Ministry had reapproved the Lahiri ayanamsha in March 1994
attended by Dr. Raman who had the mortification of seeing his ayanamsha being rejected by
the entire gathering of panchanga makers of India attending that meeting. It was a three
day conference which I had to conduct on the insistence of Dr. Raman and Pandit Sukhdeo
Chaturvedi.
Dr Raman never uttered a single word in all those three days in defence of his ayanamsha.
Then one day came a fellow with the claim that he had discoverd a true ayanamsha and that
Lahiri was wrong. He had looked sane till he started talking nonsense. I asked him to
convince
a) a gathering of astrologers who make panchangas and
b) the Human Resources Ministry which he has failed to do.
Addressing a gathering of students after disturbing their classes is not the right approach to
win a battle.
But how can a lunatic get convinced? But he pours his vituperation and shows his low
upbringing. Like all lunatics he thinks that he is a genius and world is not listening to him.
A student had asked me once when I told about my encounters with revolutionary
ayanamsha propounders, How many ayanamsha fanatics have you met ? My answer was
at least five. Out of them the only to suffer financial loss was Dr.Raman but he did not abuse
others who rejected his ayanamsha like the upstarts who keep springing up once in a
decade.
Dr. Raman created enormous difficulties for me when he prescribed his books based on his
ayanamsha for the astrology course I had shaped and was running! This was a tricky and
devious way of trying to keep alive his ayanamsha after his death. This was Ramans fourth
attempt in five years between 1989 and 1994.
If you are doing astrology seriously you must be prepared to meet these ayanamsha
lunatics somewhere or the other sometime or the other.
I told this woman that her lagna was Vrischika and that she should use only Lahiri

ayanamsha. Just hear the rantings of the ayanamsha lunatics if you cannot avoid them and
forget it.

Two years ago he had asked me whether he would get a very prestigious promotion

interesting in content. Uneasy seven last days of December 2015 causing agony showing
more scorpion bites of Saturn in Vrischika is what we had to live with. Saturn in Vrischika is

The World Health Organisation has warned against drinking camel urine as it attempts to
limit the latest outbreak of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (Mers).
Seven people in South Korea have died as a result of Mers in the latest outbreak, the largest
since the syndrome was first detected in the Saudi Arabia in 2012.
Authorities in Seoul confirmed the seventh death, of a 68-year-old woman who had a
preexisting heart condition, on Tuesday. There have been 95 infections and 2,500 people
are currently in quarantine in South Korea.
The WHO guidance was issued in response to the infection of a 75-year-old man thousands
of miles to the west, in Oman, last week. Mers, caused by a new strain of coronavirus, can

affect people and animals, and one theory is that the syndrome started in animals before
making the jump to humans.
Mers has been detected in camels, and humans have contracted Mers after coming into
contact with camels. However, doctors are still not sure how how humans become infected.
The man, who was said to be in a stable condition on a hospital isolation ward after testing
positive for Mers on 29 May, was reported by WHO to own "a barn with camels and young
calves, and [have] frequent contact with them". Mohammad, the founder of Islam drank
camel urine and was cured it is said. What would have he said if he was told about the WHO
report ?

Singh, who is vice-president of the RJD,
said it was the responsibility of the state
government to maintain law and order.
In a comment which may not go down well with ally JD(U), Singh said, "JD(U) people are in
the habit of hearing 'jay kaar' (hailing words) which they should end and take strong
measures to rein in crime causing disturbance to people."

NEW DELHI: BJP today slapped a show-cause notice on its suspended MP Kirti Azad, asking
him to explain within 10 days why he should not be expelled from the party for "indiscipline"
and "anti-party" activities.
Darbhanga (Bihar) MP said he was "ready" with his reply and will send it to the party
headquarters tomorrow. Party leader Subramanian Swamy, who had earlier questioned his
suspension, has "vetted" his reply, they said.

The story of Shani (Saturn) the great tapasvi , his head down, not even looking at the new
born baby (Ganesha) of Goddess Parvati in one of the Puranas is an interesting story. And
when he did see the child, the head of Ganesha got severed. In the life of good man with a
spiritual bent of mind such a tormenting period is also notable for attachment to a higher
ideal. Saturn first detaches from and then attaches and to....it depends on our karmas. That
gift of Saturn is least noticed.
Saturns transit in Vrischika or Scorpio have been periods of pain for India if in the Hindu
New Year chart Mars afflicts the lagna, Sun or Moon also. Will Indian politicians and Indian
voters think of a higher ideal? For a quick glance, let us recollect ...
1927 etc. years
Communal riots in India, particularly after the Khilafat movement of Mahatma Gandhi
between 1921 and 1940 are well known blood stained chapters of pre partition India mainly,
it is said, as a result of the mischievous British policies of divide and rule. With Saturn in
Tula, the RSS was formed by Hedgewar after many communal riots had taken place all over
India. After Saturn moved into Vrischika the terrible riots that swept all over India from
Bengal to Lahore are recorded giving arguments to Mohammad Iqbal, later to Jinnah for
their demand for Pakistan.

The years of Nehrus decline had begun. There was no opposition to the Congress party and
Nehru had become very unpopular and controversial with certain section of Hindus and
some Congress men who dare not speak against him openly. Two events, preventing
Purushottam Das Tandon, who had defeated Kriplani Nehru supported from functioning as
the elected president of the Congress party, and the passing of the Hindu Code Bill instead
of a common civil code had brought down the popularity of Nehru drastically. But there was

neither strong independent opposition those days, nor television channels like these days to
make a big dent into the reputation of Nehru and his pseudo secularism. Then came the
agitations filled days of States Reorganization and the first ever communist government in
India was formed in Kerala in 1957. Nehru realized that his vote winning abilities were on
the wane.
1986 etc
These are the years more fresh in public memory. In the post Indira Gandhi assassination
period, Rajiv Gandhi swept into power with an unprecedented majority but frittered it away
in many ways particularly through the Bofors scandal and the machinations of V.P.Singh.

From a website - The first whiff about the scandal came on April 16, 1987 when a Swedish
Radio broadcast claimed that AB Bofors had paid kickbacks to key Indian policy makers and
top defence officials to secure the deal. News about this broadcast was carried in the Indian
media and the Rajiv Gandhi government issued a prompt denial.(Ketu Rahu period of Indian

The details came to be known later.
From a website - A deal was signed on March 24, 1986, between New Delhi and the Swedish
metals and armaments major, which said AB Bofors would supply the Indian Army with 410
155-mm howitzers. An option to license-produce 1000 more guns was also included in the
deal.The amount was a significant $285 million (about Rs 1500 crore) for a pre-liberalization
India. Sonia Gandhi through whose connection Quattrochi had entered into it all was not
even visible then and the blame for it all fell fully and squarely on Rajiv Gandhi.
I remember those days very vividly as I was in government service producing reports and
my intimate batch mate, late R.V.Bansod, produced the Bofors report. He used to come to
the CAGs office where I was posted, almost every week to discuss this report with
T.N.Chaturvedi the CAG who took deepest personal interest in the case as in no other
report. I often saw expressions of despair on the face of Bansod who told me a thing or two
and expressed his exasperation.
Saturn waited for thirty years to enter Vrischika again to bite Sonia Gandhi in 2015 and her
son.
In 2015 etc
Saturn in Scorpio now has shown first communal tensions then casteist problems through
Patidar movement in Gujarat and now the focus is on Delhi and three political parties.
Politics in India has deteriorated now. Some politicians, being products of bad upbringing or
excessive materialistic greed or political ambitions, have also become abusive unlike
anytime in the history of independent India. Those days predictable denunciations were
couched in acceptable language. In 1977 we had Raj Narain, a rustic MP who had defeated
Indira Gandhi, never known for blatant abusive language as an IIT man called Arvind
Kejriwal chief minister of Delhi tweeting vulgar language for the Prime Minister of India now
in 2015. Or Mamata earlier uttering this After Calling Narendra Modi a 'Donkey', Mamata
Banerjee Now Calls Him 'Danga Babu' Press Trust of India May 09, 2014.
But remember all this had begun when Sonia Gandhi said Maut ka Saudagar in an election
speech long before Saturn reached Vrischika. But Narendra Modi himself was very indecent
in his election speeches in Bihar with Saturn in Vrischika particularly when he referred to the
daughter of Lalu Prasad Yadav.

Saturn, known for teaching lessons through hard knocks on the head ,is creating a painful
internal churning in all political parties apart from attacks on it so violently. Internal
churning is visible now checks and balance in a democracy will emerge out of such bickering
which is good for Indian democracy.
In the case of the Congress there is no internal democracy it being a party of dynastic
slaves, and therefore no internal bickerings leading to exposure of corruption has emerged.
For BJP, it is now a fiery ordeal. It is true that there are stories within stories in all these and
it is also apparent that many enemies of Arun Jaitley in the BJP are now thirsting for his
blood to settle their personal scores. We produced a book showing how ages of 36 and 72
are significant years in the life of an individual or even a political party, The Congress party
(I), formed in 1978 lost badly in the elections of 2014. BJP is reaching its thirty sixth year in
2016.
AAP a party known, as someone said in a television debate,as always accusing party
expelled Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav two dissenting voices, and made Kejri a
dictator. This party will have a churning after facing a court case. This party will have to take
many knocks on its head to shed it vociferous vulgarity which can happen after facing court
cases. (See Appendix 1)

Some observations
1. Subramian Swamy is becoming with
his winningly capricious personality the
agent of Saturn in the year 2015 by
offering even to help Kirti Azad against
Arun Jaitley.
2.Saturn is doing what journalists failed
to do---it is proving that the year 2015
is a watermark year for us to discover
that politicians are self-serving,
laughable idiots also dreaded as
powerful scoundrels.
3. If in courts of law they, the
politicians, strip each other naked and it
is reported in newspaper, courts of law
will become a substitute for fear of God
for them in future.
4. Stories of corruption of the Congress
party and the BJP are well known and
are always in thick rumours. CAG had shown the corruption of Congress led UPA
government through its various reports with Kapil Sibbal arguing them to be zero losses
AAP, yet to learn these tricks, will wait for its pretence and pomposity to be pricked very
soon when many more facts are discovered. At the moment it is a screaming party of ill
disciplined urchins in politics.

5. Will the tweet specialist Kejri say Why was Delhi discovered to be worlds most polluted
city one year after I became the chief minister.? He will do it when necessary to answer
when asked what had he achieved for Delhi after raising inflated expectations.
6. Astrologically, the result at the end of court cases will be one party will be proven to be
dirty, the second party dirtier and the third party dirtiest. For this I am using the Dhanu
lagna horoscope of AAP though Sundar Balakrishnan has written to me that he has
subsequently switched over to 12 noon horoscope. But Salil Jogi , also an astrologer, who
claimed to have attended the same meeting told me that it could be 10 am, 11,am and 12
am depending what our basis was. With Mars in the lagna, lagna lord in the sixth house and
Venus and Saturn in the eleventh house, its habit of street fighting is explainable why it
should be Dhanu lagna clearly. And looking at the belligerence and rusticity of AAP with its
lack of decency, the Dhanu lagna seems more suitable . And with Mars and Rahu in Kanya,
AAPs tenth house shows its vulgar reactions clearly and publicly. First Post explains this
behaviour of Arvind Kejriwal in its own way.(Annexure 3)

The Congress Party with Meena lagna has Rahu and Mars in seventh house ruining its public
image so severely. In its present Jupiter dasha, aspected by the sixth and eighth lord there
is the mixed reaction of disgrace and helpless fight: in the antardasha of Mercury the
seventh house of its public image and in the pratyantara dasha of Saturn in the sixth house
it has hardest offights.
With Mithuna lagna, Mars and Rahu in its fourth house shows BJPs troubles within the party
itself with Kirti Azad getting support from known and unknown party leaders. In its Sun
dasha, (third lord in the tenth house) Saturn eighth and ninth lord in the third house and
Jupiter dasha involved in a guru chandala yoga, it is fighting better without being able to
avoid disgrace.
They say haman me sab... Saturn in Vrischika is doing that now.

Street fighters like Arvind Kejriwal have been dragged to the court by Arun Jaitley. Does it
mean that Saturn in Vrischika favours lawyers? Who was it, (Ramakrishna Paramhamsa ?)
who said that doctors and lawyers go to !!!
And the last bite of the scorpion as the year 2015 was ending is that our members of
parliament after doing no work in parliament, holding it to ransom have unanimously agreed
to increase their pay and allowances and unanimously. If the argument is that payment
should be according to performance then include shouting, individually or collectively, also
as performance. Yes by shouting collectively they spend more energy needing more stamina
than listening to one speaker speaking at one time and listening quietly. They do not call it
Shouting Allowance.

CAUTION: Remember Mars will join Saturn in Vrischika and will be there for many months.
Remember belonging to a political party and becoming its blind loyal supporter is a new
weakness of a new age.

STRAY THOUGHTS AFTER THE WINTER SESSION
What about the statements made by the Honble Chief Minister of Delhi about the Prime
Minister and others, both inside and outside Delhi Assembly? If any functionary of the
Government of India were to use such language, it would result in a nationwide outrage.
People in positions are expected to act with restraint. They cannot be outlandish.Vulgarity is
not a right available to them. The political discourse cannot be couched in vulgar language.
Falsehood delivered with vulgar overtones is not a substitute of truth. Lumpenisation of
public discourse can never be a high point of politics. Functionaries of the Delhi Government
and its supporters have lowered the level of political discourse. They rely heavily on general
falsehood without ever stating the specifics. The Aam Aadmi Partys success in Delhi seems
to have misled the Congress Party that vulgarity brings votes. Indian public opinion has a
sense of fairness. It is time that public opinion expresses its outrage against the lowering of
the level of public discourse.

going to change

He troubled the Congress three years ago, and he is troubling the BJP now.
He was acerbic with his tongue then, he is equally acidic now. He punched well above his
weight then; he is still at it. His approach has an anarchic trait then, it has not changed a
bit. People had been guessing whether his madness had a method, they are still undecided.
He confused us all as an anti-corruption crusader and as a politician, he continues to be a
riddle.
In short, Arvind Kejriwal remains where he was: That devil-may-care attitude, the air of
irreverence and take-the-holy-cow-down approach are right where they were; perhaps what
has changed is the way the world looks at and interprets him these days. As he takes on
another political biggie, Arun Jaitley, and keeps targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi,
theres a fresh round of speculation on what he is up to.
Is he gunning for the prime ministers job in 2019? Yes, some would believe. Theres a
vacuum in the Opposition space right now and the Congress under Rahul Gandhis
leadership is not likely to occupy it quickly. So far so good. But why would other regional

leaders cede space to him when there is a lot of prime ministerial ambition going around
among them? JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee
have offered plenty of hints of this ambition earlier. ....The simple fact is that though his
style of operation has not altered a bit, Kejriwal of 2015 is not the Kejriwal of 2012. For
someone whose politics is all about daily skirmishes, angry decibels and a spectacular lack
of fresh ideas, it would be impossible to earn equal space with his vastly senior peers in
other friendly parties. It means the prime ministerial ambition attributed to him is a bit farfetched.
Is he only trying to make his presence felt through regular doses of outrageous activity?
Perhaps, he is an incorrigible attention-seeker, but it does not lead us anywhere; he is
already a legitimate political presence in Delhi and he does not need his high-decibel
theatrics to be visible anymore. ... The motive behind Kejriwals actions will forever remain
open to interpretations.

ETERNAL INDIA 19 - THE GITA, THE BHAGVATAM AND VISHNU SAHASTRANAMM

TRADITION - PART I

It is an incident which happened more than twenty seven years ago or to be precise in
Octobter 1982 and I learnt a lesson though enigmatically here I was the preacher. Those
days I was in government service and every evening we had the recitation among other
stotras of the Vishnu Sahastranaam which is my universal prescription to anyone wanting to
seek remedial measure from me as an astrologer. I otherwise ask anyone interested in
spiritual pursuit to do it regularly.
I share with some of the more intimate friends who have spiritual inclinations some
experiences of mine and others to which I have been a first hand witness. What I have
written in my book Yogis, Destiny and the Wheel of Time is only a tiny fragment of what
all could be narrated. But the eternal warning given everywhere dont cast pearls...is a
warning repeated in so many places in our scriptures and even in the Gita in the last parts
of the eighteenth chapter.
I have reasons to remember a person in his late seventies or early eighties in the years
from 1980 to 1984. He was the father of a a friend seventeen years younger to me. This
young man used to join our Vishnu Sahastranam recitation as many times as he could
though we had it everyday those days at my place. I will call him MGA. He also joined our
Vrindavan pilgrimages which were once or twice a month. But he was familiar with
Vrindavan because he was born there after his late father had migrated to this great
pilgrimage after the partition of India.
This piece is of course is about the old man, the father of my young friend MGA. Those
affected by the partition in what now is Pakistan, or rather west Punjab of prepartion days,
mostly went to well known big cities and soon made enough money to become prosperous.
How can pilgrimages offer any opportunity to earn big money ? But some of the refugees
decided to migrate to pilgrimages and my friends father decided to go to Mathura from
where he could go to Vrindavan and spend as much with saints and in satsang and also earn
money to fulfil his duties as a householder for his family. He had lost one arm, had a small
business and earned enough to educate all his sons well. Each of them got good jobs and
served their parents faithfully.

The father of MGA fell seriously ill in 1982, was on his death bed. In desperation, once he
told his son who had got him admitted to a hospital that he wanted me to see his horoscope
and also expressed a wish to meet me. I went to Mathura, where he was in a hospital, to
see him.
He asked me to see his horoscope and make a prediction which surprised me . I collected
myself and asked him why had he decided, after the partition, to migrate to Mathura and
not to a bigger city where he could have earned a big fortune like many others. He said that
he wanted to devote his life to Lord Krishna and he had often quoted from the Gita and the
Srimad Bhagvatam which he knew as well as any seasoned preacher. I asked him then was
he remembering what Lord Krishna had demanded---surrender unto ME ? Was astrological
prediction superior to the preachings of Lord Krishna ? The old man kept quiet, took deep
breath and after a very long pause, as though woken out of a deep meditation, said that
I preached to him what he was forgetting. When he had decided to surrender everything to
Lord Krisna why should he forget it now, with death staring at him ?
Slowly a strange glow appeared on his face. He kept quiet, became cheerful and felt very
peaceful. I was reminded of what C.G.Jung, the great psychologist, had written once. Jung
went to hospitals, saw old men on death bed wanting to cling to life desperately.Jung asked
them what was the most important event left to happen in their lives. The answer invariably
was Death. Yes, that was inevitable Jung would tell them and was the only major event
awaiting them. Once those old men reconciled to the fact that death was the only event to
take place, they became calm and peace reigned on their faces.
I almost did the same to the father of MGA---but with a difference. I was talking to a Hindu
who had such strong spiritual background.
After my rhetorical questions to him he seemed to remember the entire eighth chapter of
the Gita and reconciled himself to death beautifully, was remembering only Lord Krishna,
forgetting the world, his family and other worries. He became absolutely peaceful and few
days after died a beautiful death.
The story of MGA himself in July 2009 is equally beautiful, like his fathers, but with a
pleasant difference and I will narrate it after some days. But then remember the eighth
chapter of the Gita, the eternal and most beautiful message ever delivered to mankind.
