Mission Statement:
Course Guide is a non-profit service that mobilizes academically prepared
students to tutor other students by providing one-on-one attention to master difficult
concepts.
Purpose:
To connect students and their families with high qualified, passionate, and
affordable student tutors who provide one-on-one attention in order to master concepts
in a specific area of need.
For elementary students, tutors will help complete homework assignments with
accuracy and focus while inculcating the best study habits at a young age through oneon-one attention.
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that
from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the
Lord Christ.

Expectations for Tutors
1. All tutors are required to interview and provide a recommendation for the
class(es) they hope to tutor in.
2. All tutors must provide recent transcripts which will be confidential.
3. All tutors are required to meet with the students teacher before initial session.
4. All tutors will be given suggested hourly fees either $30, $35, or $40 (although
tutor ultimately decides what they will charge) for their tutoring depending on
highest course completed in that subject, level academic experience, extent of
tutoring experience, recommendations from previous teachers and families

2. Tutoring elementary kids, just helping them with homework, is a set price
that will be a total cost of $25 an hour regardless of tutors normal hourly
fee.
b. All tutors are expected to arrive at least 10 minutes early to each session.

c. The frequency of which a tutor gets recommended to families will depend on
work ethic, attitude, level of expertise, availability, reliability, and feedback from
families.
