account children are able to explore the site ad-free.
Suggestions for Improvement: The software is not free; however, it does offer good educational
instruction for students with an account. Students will have to remember a user name and
password if their school is able to provide them assess to the site.

Description of how to implement in the class:
I will transition the students onto the carpet area by playing a song on YouTube about pollution. I
will open the lesson by reading a book (for example the lorax by Dr. Seuss). During the reading, we
will discuss the cause and effects of pollution in the story. After reading students will pair and
share their thoughts on pollution and identify solutions to the problem. Then the students will
have a whole group discussion on what they shared with their partners. The pairs will each get an
I-pad. They will go to brain pop lessons on air pollution, water pollution, and humans and the
environment. As a class, we will record what we knew about pollution before and after the lesson.
Students will then create an art piece comparing what an environment might look like before and
after pollution.
Materials: I-pads, Book: The Lorax by Dr. Seuss, Poster, Markers, anything else students might
need. Students will then be assessed through brain pop and their discussions as well as artwork.
