Approval of Minutes of October 2016 Meeting: (Thayer 1st, Williams 2nd)
TREASURER'S REPORT
*Treasurers report approved
GRIEVANCE AND LEGAL: Grievance filed regarding Middle School Teacher being limited
on use of absences and comp. time. A letter from administration was issued.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
*COPE/PAC COPE Banking account has been closed. The PAC forms dissolving the
fund have been sent.
*CENTRAL SICK BANK - there are currently 476.4 days in the sick bank as of 1/18/17.
*COMMUNITY PRESENCE: Jennifer Shiemke

The Scholarship Dance is at the Vintage House on February 25th. Early Bird price
is $35. EVERYTHING is included.

The Joe Manfeda Dream Dash is on May 6th. The registration is open. If you go to
FB page, there is a Google Doc for anyone interested in being a volunteer for the
event.

The Senior All Night Party Bowling Fundraiser in on March 24 th at Sterling Lanes.
The price is $20 per person. Check-in is at 6:30 and bowling is at 7:30.

PLEASE CONTACT JENNIFER IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS TO GET US OUT IN THE
COMMUNITY TO MAKE OUR PRESENCE KNOWN.

PRESIDENT'S REPORT

Pete Hedemark has said he will come up with a value system for
after school events that need to be attended to achieve the effective
rating.

The district has provided some of the information and data

pertaining to DI programs. We are still waiting on additional data
from Dave Rice. Volunteers are needed to go over the data. This is
to protect ourselves at evaluation time. Volunteers please contact
Ted or Michelle.

Sarah, Autumn, Jennifer, Kaitlin, and Ted attended the Leadership

Summit on Jan. 14-15, 2017 at UM Flint. Topics discussed included
going to an Open Shop and Bill Highway. In March we will be having
a committee drive. The purpose of the drive is to get our members
to commit to the union for next year.

Contract Committees we are still in need of members to sign up to

go over articles in the contract to prepare for negotiations. If you
are interested please contact Sarah Marciniak

REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Unanimously approved $50.00 for half page ad at Scholarship Dance

(Brussow 1st, Earl 2nd)

Unanimously approved $300.00 for Sponsorship at the Joe Manfeda

Dream Dash. ( Includes Hero shirt, banner, promo flyer, website) (Glancy
1st, Chesher 2nd)

Unanimously approved $25 to sponsor lane at Senior All Night Bowling

Fundraiser (Earl 1st, Cordle 2nd)

GOOD AND WELFARE

Mr. Williams suggested that a list be put together of community donations

the union has made that may be considered toward Domain 4 in the
evaluation. If you have any suggestions of activities that should be
included on the list that others may overlook, such as can food drive
donation or jean day donation, please forward them to Michelle Nemitz. I
will compile a complete list and forward it out to the membership closer to
May.
