found in section 6102 to prevent the harms that you listed in answer Part B?
Question #4 (Worth 4 Points) Using the material from 18 PA C.S. Chapter 31: Please
Answer the following:
Pat Smith enters the local police station and reports being the victim of a sexual assault
three (3) months earlier. Specifically, Pat claims that the alleged actor, Chris Jones,
touched Pat Smiths genital area above the clothing. A police detective meets with and
takes Pats statement. Pat identifies the perpetrator by name, but cannot provide any
corroborating evidence.

Can the detective make an arrest? Why? If so, what would be the charge?
Part B (2 points)
Given these facts, could the accused be convicted of the crime? Why?
