I am writing this letter of recommendation in support of Adriana Ruizs nomination for the position.

I have known Adriana for many years undertaking a variety of human rights initiatives together in
various contexts in Latin America, North Africa, and Europe. Our most extensive work was an
initiative with victims of human trafficking at the national level in Colombia and Brazil, as well as
programs of gender empowerment in Egypt and Morocco. Having developed and led various
human rights enterprises throughout Latin America and the MENA region, Adriana demonstrated
her strong leadership abilities in designing and implementing the programs, her advocacy skills in
formulating and ensuring the necessary legislations were instigated, and assisting her team
members in carrying their responsibilities. Furthermore, Adriana has reflected her expertise in
research publications both at the national level in Colombia as well as renowned international
platforms.

On a personal level, Adriana is a well-disciplined, highly creative and innovative, industrious

individual with a pleasant personality. She has always gone well beyond her terms of reference in
the quantity and quality of her work, putting in a lot of extra effort into her endeavors. Throughout
our time working together, Adriana has demonstrated great perseverance and initiative. She was
not only interested in and motivated to learn new material, but put great work into assimilating it to
her own experience and developing her own ideas about each topic discussed. Finally, She
distinguished herself by delivering an exceptionally well-performed and interesting research on
young people in contexts of armed conflict as well as designing and implementing a variety of
programs with victims of human trafficking in many regions worldwide.

In my opinion, Adriana's unwavering devotion to the global community exemplifies strong moral
fiber and character. She is a trustworthy individual and would be an excellent candidate for this
position. Finally, her ability to speak several languages fluently relieved us in managing our
transnational programs.
