B - SLOPE SENSOR
ADJUSTMENT

The slope sensors are pre-set by the manufacturer. The

only parameter that can be adjusted is sensor initialisation.

- Set the platform on a horizontal surface and leave it switched on.

- Open the right-hand turret cowl (B1-1). B1

NT
RO 1
F
- Note the position of the slope sensor between the base console
casing and the counterweight.

- Take hold of the unconnected wire (B2-2) coming out of the sensor.

- Remove the plastic cover (B2-3) from the end of the wire.
BLUE 0V
BROWN +24V
- Remove the right-hand batterys protective cover (B1-2).
GREEN 0 V SLOPE
24 V SLOPE
- Take an electric wire 0.5m long, stripped at both ends and connect
D-EL-470
it to the wire (B2-2) and the right-hand batterys terminal (B1-3) :

- The green LED under the sensor will flash several times.
- It stops flashing when the sensor is initialised.
- It lights permanently.

The green LED is lit in normal operation and only goes out
if the angular slope value is exceeded.

- Instruct the platform to move so that it is on a slope and check :

- That the alarm is triggered (intermittent beep).

- That the lifting movements are cut off.

- Instruct the platform to move so that it is back on a horizontal plane

and check that the alarm stops.

ADJUSTMENT

- Set the basket in the low position and leave the platform switched on.

- Remove the cowl (C1-1). C1

- Connect the calibrator to the platform .................... 80-8-11-M.118

Adjusting the level of pre-stress on the overload spring

- Place a load in the basket and distribute it evenly over the floor :

- 170 AETJL ......................................................................170kg

- Tighten the bolt (C1-2) so that it can still rotate freely after the opera-
tion but with minimum play

Adjusting the overload sensors

- Loosen the lock nuts (C2-1) and then tighten the overload screws C2

(C2-2) fully.

- SQ5a sensor: test menu 1.3.16
SQ5b sensor: test menu 2.4.9 .............................. 80-8-11-M.118

- Note the position of the SQ5a sensor (yellow ring on the power cable)
and loosen its overload screw (C2-2) until the calibrator shows OPEN
instead of CLOSED.

- Note the position of the SQ5b sensor (yellow ring on the power
cable) and loosen its overload screw (C2-2) until the calibrator shows
CLOSED instead of OPEN.

Testing the overload system

- Remove 20kg from the load in the basket and check that :

- The alarm switches off.

- The calibrator shows CLOSED in test menu 1.3.16 (SQ5a).
- The calibrator shows OPEN in test menu 2.4.9 (SQ5b).

- Return the 20kg to the basket; the alarm triggers (permanent beep).

- Tighten the lock nuts (C2-1) and mark then with a dab of paint to
confirm that they have been adjusted.
