Ecosystem Food Web Analization
Directions: In the space below, answer the following questions in complete sentences. Be sure to use detail and examples from your food web for each answer.
1.How are the organisms in my food web interconnected? All animals depend on producers for glucose which is their energy source. The secondary

consumer depends on the herbivore for energy and food, etc. Without each animal in the ecosystem the ecosystem would become unbalanced and fail.

2.Explain at least 2 ways how surrounding humans can impact your ecosystem. Limiting factor means the slowest, therefore, rate-limiting, step

in a process or reaction involving several steps. Humans are the limiting factor. We hurt the environment by building in land that animal inhabit and taking away
their habitat . This causes them to seek another environment and fail, or die. Without animals there is no ecosystem. Another way humans can ruin ecosystems is
by spraying it with poison. For example, when humans use bug spray to kill mosquitoes they are also hurting the frogs that eat the mosquitoes which hurts the
snake that eats the frog, etc. That is two ways that humans can impact the ecosystem.
1.Use the Venn Diagram below to compare and contrast your food webs ecosystem to another terrestrial or aquatic ecosystem

-rainforest are wet -taigas are pretty much dry except for snow
-It is usually warm -the average temperature is 32*F
-tropical trees -producers -spruce trees
-200-350 inches per year -consumers -Trees have adapted by growing thick bark in the taiga.
-Rainforests only cover around 2 -decomposer -12-33 inches of rain in one year.
percent the total surface area of the -abiotic -The taiga biome is the largest terrestrial biome and
Earth, but really about 50 percent of -biotic extends across Europe, North America, and Asia. It is
the plants and animals on the earth
live in the rainforest. located right below the tundra biome. The taiga biome is
also known as coniferous forest or boreal forest. This
biome typically has short, wet summers and long, cold
winters.
