Release.
Project #1
Team Size : 3
Role : • Test the release IPTK 7.1.2 : Work on the SDP tunneling
feature.
This project involves complete testing of ARICENT IPTK product for different customers.IP
Phone Toolkit can be used as a building block for creating SIP applications. It enables the
application developer to perform the following tasks:
Create new innovative services by combining simple operations, such as, registration,
authentication, session control, voice, video and data into application scenarios.
Create applications, such as, Voice and Video. using Application Specific Libraries while using
multiple communication; create a whole new set of user-specific applications, such as,
business, gaming, entertainment, location and information services by using the underlying
communication applications as the infrastructure.
Project # 2
Team Size : 1
This project involves testing of ARICENT IPTK product for different customers for finding the
memory related issues like Memory Leaks, Array Bounds Exceptions, Segmentation Faults
using Tools Codenomicon Test Tool, Purify, Ethereal.
Project # 3
Title : MTP3 Release10.0.0
Team Size : 3
This project involves testing of ARICENT MTP3 stack for different customers. SS7 is a global
standard for telecommunications that defines the procedures and protocols, which enable the
network elements in the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) to exchange information
over a digital signalling network. The functionalities of various layers:
MTP Level 1 (MTP1): Defines the physical, electrical, and functional characteristics of the
digital signaling link.
MTP Level 2 (MTP2) Ensures accurate end-to-end transmission of a message across a
signaling link. Level 2 implements flow control, message sequence validation, and error
checking. When an error occurs on a signaling link, the message (or set of messages) is
retransmitted. MTP Level 2 is equivalent to the OSI Data Link Layer.
MTP Level 3 (MTP3): Provides message routing between signaling points in the SS7 network.
MTP Level 3 re-routes traffic away from failed links and signaling points and controls traffic
when congestion occurs. MTP Level 3 is equivalent to the OSI Network Layer.
Project #4
Team Size : 3
This project involves testing of ARICENT Diameter Product Release for different customers.
Diameter protocol is widely used in the IMS architecture for IMS entities to exchange
Authentication Authorization Accounting (AAA) related information. The Diameter Base protocol
provides the following facilities:
•Delivery of Attribute Value Pairs (AVPs)
•Capabilities negotiation
•Error notification
•Extensibility, through addition of new commands and AVPs
•Basic services necessary for applications, such as, handling of user sessions and
accounting
Diameter entities use the S6a/S6d interface as a transport protocol for communicating with
each other. Diameter S6a/S6d Application Processing Node (APN) allows S6a/S6d client/server
applications to transfer the subscriber related data between the MME and the HSS or between
SGSN and HSS.
The S13 interface enables the Mobile Equipment (ME) Identity check procedure between the
MME and the EIR. This ME Identity Check Procedure is used between the MME and the EIR to
check the Mobile Equipment's identity status (For example, to check that it has not been
stolen, or, to verify that it does not have faults).
