Interpretation

I learned with this course that studying Assessment of Learning 1 is somehow a

difficult task for a teacher. With this course, now I know the differences among measurement,

assessment, and evaluation. Measurement is the quantification of what the students learned.

Assessment refers to gathering and synthesizing. Last, the evaluation is the process of making

judgment or decision towards your students performance. In this subject, I learned how am I

going to make a valid and reliable examination for students which is essentials for teachers. I

also experienced how to check whether my exam is valid and reliable or not valid or not

reliable. It is necessary to also check the validity and reliability of your exam and not just to

base on students score.

It has been done through the following:

Making Table of Specification ( Table 1 )


Through the syllabus given by the teacher of Grade 7, Maam Michelle Mendoza, I

made my TOS. I can considered what are the topics they have discussed for them to be

able to answer the exam.


Making the Examination
The examination was composed of 10 Multiple choices, 10 Fill in the blanks, 10

modified True or False, 10 Identification and 10 Matching Type. I learned that making

an exam is not so easy, you need to consider a lot of things, especially in my case that I

am not the one who taught the lesson.


Administering the test
I talked to Maam Mendoza first to settle the schedule. Before I giving the exam to the

students, I gave them rules first while answering the exam. Afterwards, I checked it.
Appraising the test
I made an item analysis. I computed for the UL %, mean, median, mode, Quartile 1,

Decile 7, and Percentile 70. Then also for the standard deviation and the pearson r.

After going through statistical processes, now I interpret it. The results of the Item

Analysis all in all are Rejected: 5, Retained: 40 and Revised: 5. In computing for the

Measures of Central Tendency, the results are the following: Mean= 27.61, Median= 27.82,

Mode= 24.5 and the Standard Deviation= 8.23 which means that the said exam is

homogenous. The mean, median, mode is greater than 25.

I also did the test of Correlation using Split-half Method (odd-even) by Pearson r. the

result is Pearson r= -0.41 which means that the exam is a substantial/marked correlation.

I therefore conclude, that after going through difficult tasks, the examination that I

made and administered was homogenous, reliable and valid.

Una sa lahat nais kong pasalamatan ang Diyos sa pagbibigay Niya ng lakas, talino,
