Introduction
Teaching Social Studies requires broader knowledge most likely up to date with
issues. Social Studies help in molding students with high sense of nationalism, unity, and
pride in belonging to a certain race, but with respect to other race.
It helps the students to learn the challenges, achievement of people throughout the
world. They learned how to value the contributions from the past.
A. Staff Development
1. Upgrade the instructional competence of teachers in the field of Social Studies
through:
a. Attended regional mass training of second year teacher on the 2010 secondary
education curriculum.
b. Attended I teach 4 Generation Y Search for the best ICT Integration
Practices in Araling Panlipunan
c. Attented In Service Training Seminar in Araling Panlipunan School-Based
d. Teachers participated in demonstration teaching in District and Regional Level
e. Teachers attended Lakbay Aral in Laguna
B. Student Development
1. Improved student achievement level through the ff.
a. Administered diagnostic, unit, periodical, and achievement test during the
year
b. Students participated in poster making contest flag identification, Quiz Bee,
campaign for Real Property Tax, Cultural Presentation, and Asean Quiz Bee
c. First and Second year Students participated in the school Histo Quiz
d. Selected students from Third and Fourth year participated in various contest in
District and Division level.
e. Selected students participated in LBNHS Lakbay Aral in Congress
f. Administered thorough review for the NAT
2. Developed leadership and increase self-confidence in dealing with others through
extra-curricular activities in different organization
3. The students were able to use powerpoint presentation in presenting their report or
lesson. The utilization of their knowledge in technology was a great help in
achieving good result in the learning outcomes
4. Provided extra-curricular activities for the students to develop leadership and
increase self confidence in dealing with others.
