Learning Experience: Cognitive- Animal exploration with mirrors, light and colour.

Programming Purpose: The children appear to be fascinated with animals as well


as an interest in exploring different textures, materials, and sound.

Objective:
Children will enhance problems solving skills as they look at the various animals through the
different lenses. Based on section 23 of the FDK curriculum the children will learn to pose

Role of the Educator:


Teaching Strategy #1: Invitation
I can invite the children to come to play with the various activities on the two
tables. This can involve me saying Do you want to try this or This looks really
cool, what happens if this happens?

Teaching Strategy #2: Do- It Signals


Following up with invitation I can provide Do It Signals for the children to try, to
see how they can adapt and manipulate the basic objects to see the objects in a
new way. The questions can include
