NSW HIGHER SCHOOL CERTIFICATE (NSW HSC)

The New South Wales Higher School Certificate (NSW HSC) is a Pre-U
Matriculation program in New South Wales, Australia. The Higher School
Certificate is issued by the Board of Studies, New South Wales.

As in the AUSMAT and SAM programs, the New South Wales HSC Program is
also recognised for entry into universities in New Zealand, USA, Canada, Russia,
Germany and private institutions in Malaysia.

Entry Requirements:
SPM / GCSE O level or equivalent with 5 credits (including English,
Mathematics / Science and a pass in Bahasa Melayu). Forecast results are
accepted.

Assessment:
50% Internal Assessment based on coursework, 50% on Final External
Examination

Mathematics Extension 1 - 3 units

Biology - 2 units
Chemistry - 2 units
Physics - 2 units
Information Process & Technology - 2 units
Accounts (TAFE NSW) - 2 units
Business Studies - 2 units
Economics - 2 units

Student must take a total number of 5-6 subjects to make up a minimum of 10


units and English as a Second Language must be included in the 10 units.
