Gen. 1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the
darkness.
Sovereign LORD and Savior:
I ought to be so much more grateful for recieving light than what I am. I
see so much more of you in the light and by the light of the word, for truly,
Psa. 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Solomon says physical light is sweet (Eccl. 11:7), yet the light of the gospel is
definitely better. Spiritual light reveals eternal things and meets the needs of my
immortal nature. I need light so my soul can see beyond this darkness!
Holy Spirit, will you not give __________ and __________ spiritual light?
Open their eyes to behold the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ, even as
they see sin in its true colors, and themselves in their real conditionlost. Let
them see Jesus! Let them see the plan of salvation clearly. Let them see the world
to come, just as your word describes it. Make them restless till they know you.
Lord, since light is so good, give us more in our church, and in our
community. Make me a true light-bearer by your Spirit to bring saving insight to
the lost. Give me more of yourself Jesus, because you are the Light of the world!
Let me prepare myself by prayer, because as soon as light shines, a division
is caused. Light and darkness have no fellowship. God, since you divide them,
help me not co-mingle them in my life. Give me freedom from the deeds, the
doctrines, and the deceits of darkness. Make me sober, honest, and above all
bold as a child of light. I can leave the works of darkness to those who dwell in
it. In judgment, in action, and in communication, help me maintain a distinct
separation from the world system and the things in it. For by that will the
unsaved see and follow the light. I ask this for the sake of my Lord Jesus. Amen.

Rev. 3:8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man
can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my
name.
O Lord God of Heaven:
So many times I doubt my worth to you. Yet all it takes for me to see an
open door in my life is remain faithful to your truth! Let my soul resolve today to
live and die by what you reveal in your Word. #biblicalauthority
WHEN YOU OPEN THE DOOR, Lord I will enter by communion. Who can
stop me from praying? Jesus removed my sin, gave me his righteousness, and told
me to boldly enter. Lord, I do so by your grace!
WHEN YOU OPEN THE DOOR, Lord I will enter into your mysteries. Who
can keep me from learning my Bible? Why, I can even enter into the deep things of
God! Everything is set in front of me to enjoy. No promise, no principle and no
doctrine remains locked-up when you but open the door of the scriptures to me!
WHEN YOU OPEN THE DOOR, Lord I will enter into ministry. Who can
keep me from serving you? If you hear me and teach me, then you will also use
me to play my part in accomplishing your Eternal Purpose.
A door is opened for my onward march in growth
A door is opened for my outward reach with the gospel
And a door is opened for my inward fellowship with other saints. No
one else can shut me up, or shut me out!
Soon I will see a door opened in heaven (Rev. 4:1). Oh Lord! Then I will be
with you, eternally shut-in to your purposes.

Col. 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where
Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Our Father:
We dare call you by that name because we have received the Spirit of
adoption (Rom. 8:15). We confess a desire to love you, and an implicit trust in
you. We want to obey your will and seek your honordaily help us, Jesus! All
our dependence is on you. You are all-in-all to us. You are our fullness. If we lose
ourselves, we only find ourselves completely when we look in you!
We come to you by the way you appointed. Enabled by the Spirit whom
you have given, we speak with very God. We are always grieving when we offend
you. Our inmost desire, Father, is to grow in a perfected faith and perfect peace,
so we can live in a perfect state, proving the truth of the gospel to the lost.
Psa. 119:128 Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I
hate every false way.
Lord, we want with all the power of our mind, to be delivered from the
domination of any sinto be led into the freedom of complete obedience.
Jer. 17:10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man
according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
God, you know we want to promote your glory, by Jesus, through our
church. We count nothing as riches but that which makes us rich toward you. We
count nothing as healthy but that which is holiness in your sight. We reckon
nothing as pure, except what you cleanse. We deem nothing as good but what
you bless. Our estimation of you is fueled by our love for you, because of what
you have already done for us. Continue to give us your blessing, and
continually help us to praise! Do it all for Jesus sake. Amen.

Luke 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how
much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
Holy Spirit of God:
YOU ARE DESCRIBED AS FIRE. Kindle an eagerness, an excitement, an
enthusiasm in me. Give me a burning zeal to read your word, and faithfully
follow Jesus. Bring me a tongue of fire to speak to others about him!
O that we all had this fire! O that you would come in answer to our
cries! Holy Spirit, blow through us again. Make us a praying church! Fire
our church and each individual. Give us a revival of the gospel!
YOU ARE DESCRIBED AS OIL. Give me a divine anointing. Anoint our
pastors with fresh oil each Sunday! You promised to give the Holy Ghost to
those who ask for him this way. I ask. I ask! I ask again!
THERE IS NO WORK OF YOUR SPIRIT DONE IN US UNLESS WE SEEK IT.
Give me fresh power! All the attributes of your Spirit come to us when we ask. I
have his power if I acknowledge his presence. Bring him now and revive us!
I have life, so I pray to have it more abundantly (John 10:10). I have pardon
for sin, but I want a fuller appreciation of it, because that is revival. I have the
Holy Spirit so I am saved, but I need your power in so many other ways. Lord, I
need your direction and protection and grace.
Oh, do not let the spiritual life you gave me ebb away. Make it stronger. It
was birthed by your Spirit, so it will only grow by your Spirit. Give me a life to
crush the power of corruption within my flesh, for that is revival. I want more of
your matchless work and gracious movement. Influence me through your
indwelling, so much so I seek to know you better, for that is revival. I humbly
and patiently wait on you Lord, that I might daily have your Spirit. Amen.

Saturday, February 18
Psa. 84:2 My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart
and my flesh crieth out for the living God.
Oh, Living God!
Earth affords no sight so refreshing as the gathering of believers to worship
you. Only weak Christians are uncomfortable in the services of our church. For
as the psalmist says, his soul longs for, pines, and even faints to meet saints in the
courts of your house. Make my own desire deep and insatiable, my own soul
yearning for the living God. I look forward to Sunday, to stand again in those spaces
dedicated to your adoration. That is the longing of my heart!
If I am a real subject of the King, then I will love his courts. I cannot
remain silent in my desires; I cry for you Lord, and your houseeven like the
sons of Korah who wept, and sighed, and pleaded for that privilege. Some people
have to be whipped to get into church, but I cry for it. Give me a holy appetite
for worship and fellowship and praise.
Psa. 84:5 Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of
them.
The blessings of worship do not belong to half-hearted, listless people.
They belong to those who throw their whole energy into Sunday worship!
Neither prayer, nor praise, nor the preaching of the word are profitable to people
who leave their hearts at home (or in the world!).
It is those who love the ways of God who are blessed. I pray to be one of
those! Make me so, as your Spirit moves on me inwardly. Put your ways into
my heart and my heart into your ways, and thereby make me what and where I
should be. When sorrowing, or going through any other valley, give me sweet
comfort in communion with my brothers and sisters in Jesus. Amen!

1) TIMEWORSHIP
Mark 1:35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and
departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST PART OF EVERY DAY. The first commitment is
to a daily quiet time with God. Our weekly Prayer Diary provides a template for daily
devotions.
2) TITHEWORK
1 Cor 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God
hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST DIME OF EVERY DOLLARno questions
asked. Ten percent is a miniscule amount in our affluent society, but it must come
off the top in order to show that God is our priority. We want the blessing of the
firstfruits (first devotion, first dime and first day) to flow out to the rest of our
resources.
3) TEAMWORD
Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is;
but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST DAY OF EVERY WEEK. You should fellowship
with a group of believers around the word of God every Sunday in our church.
QUALITY CHRISTIANITY INVOLVES THREE THINGS
Keeping Christ at the center (your core relationship of worship to God)
Keeping the body of Christ a priority (your congregational relationship of
walking with us)
Basing beliefs and actions on the mind of Christ (your church relationship in
the Word)

INSTRUCTIONS:
Baptists tend to ridicule liturgical churches that use "prepared prayers" because
they lack spontaneity. But for many Baptists, their prayers are so predictable they are
no more spontaneous than written-out prayers. The result is we end up praying the
same things over and over.
This daily Prayer Diary will prompt you on a wide range of prayer requests you
might not normally think of, while forcing you to articulate a deeper devotion to
God. We have included a daily Bible reading schedule. This plan will take you
through the Bible chronologically in a year.
Do not read ahead and do not try to catch up. Use each day as it comes. Then
you can know that on any given day, dozens of other people are lifting their hearts in
the same mind to God. Pray what is written, but use what is prayed as a springboard
for your own relationship with God. You learn to pray by praying.

Secret prayer is the secret of prayer, the soul of prayer, the seal of prayer, the
strength of prayer. If you do not pray alone you do not pray at all. Our Lord Jesus
Christ would go nowhere till He had prayed. He would attempt nothing till He had
prayed.
Oh, says one, I live in the spirit of prayer, and therefore I do not need times
and seasons for prayer. And do you think that Christ did not live in the spirit of
prayer? Yet He had to have his special time and place to pray. Do not fall under the
injurious notion that because your spirit cries to God in prayer all day long, therefore
there must not be some season for more immediately coming into Gods presence. If
you imagine this, I am afraid that it will prove a snare to your feet. The Lord Jesus
Christ, who knew better than you do that the main thing is the spirit of prayer rather
than the act of prayer, yet Himself retired into desert places to maintain the act and
exercise of prayer. Be spiritual. Be baptized into the spirit of prayer. But do not be
deceived by the enemy, who can steal a spirit away while we dream that we only
spiritualize it. We had better preserve the very bones of prayerthe posture, the
time, placerather than let it all ooze away into an impalpable mental condition.
God keep us prayerful. He will do so if He makes us like His dear Son.
