The V8240 GPON OLT is a carrier class, medium Features

density, multi-service access and aggregation 40 GPON or 240 Active Ethernet ports
platform that bridges the gap between existing 296Gbps non-blocking Layer 3 switching
and next generation networks. It supports both 4 10GbE + 8 GbE uplink ports
legacy and emerging service interfaces over both

copper and fiber, and is easily scalable to support
even the most bandwidth intensive applications.
The V8240 offers 40 GPON ports serving up to
1,280 residential or business subscribers (1:32
ratio split), or up to 240 Active Ethernet ports. The
V8240 is a 7 RU chassis with 14 slots for 10 service
modules, dual uplink modules, and dual 296Gbps
switch fabric modules to deliver a wide range of
high-performance FTTx applications.
